Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Wet underfoot, loads of laying water - we had heavy downpours, thunder and lightening for a while last night - lots of localised flooding too.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was braised pork loins, potato au gratin, veg and gravy. Tonight fish, jacket potato and beans and cheese.
Half day at work - pleased about that and the big event at work was cancelled last minute so not such a hectic week as I was expecting.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Warm and sunny yesterday after a showery start, today I think it's to rain most of the day.
Enjoy your hols Nanny.
The Skygarden is somewhere on my list carolbee, hope you enjoy it..
Good of you to help your friend Iris.
Make sure you get plenty of rest Poppy.
I had words with the HT yesterday, found out something that I had to do via social media and I wasn't happy. Anyway, he did apologise so that's something. Another day in the madhouse ahead.
Got some more of the driveway scraped out after work, nearly halfway there. If it's not raining when I get home I'll do some more. Also need to pot on some tomatoes but I'm running out of room in the greenhouse!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The sun is currently shining and hopefully it will last. Yesterday's showers never happened and we had sunshine all day long. The promise of better things to come!
The nice weather spurred me into action and I finished pruning the wardrobes and then started on all the surplus bedding. Quite a pile now for the charity shop when DD can take it for me. I then started on the smallest bedroom which was eldest DGD's when she stayed. All the little girl stuff in there either went in the bin or in a charity bag. I would say it looked tidier but until all the charity bags have gone it doesn't as they are all piled up in there!
Today I should make another onslaught on the front garden as the weeds are back in force again. I make no promises on that!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. I hope the nice weather up here stays with us for your break up here in God's Own Country SNOOZER. And NAN too - is it Devon again? Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
We had thunder and torrential rain late afternoon yesterday and rain is due back today and for the next week or so. I was going to go for an early morning run, but managed to talk myself out of it. Maybe tomorrow....
I'm WFH today as boss was due to travel and cancelled last minute yesterday. We have to book a desk in advance so no chance of anywhere to sit today. It's also another industrial action day, so I have the pleasure of marking people absent and docking their pay and pension!
That's really not on @camelot1001 - glad you had 'words'
Ooh the Skygarden @carolbee - let me know what it's like as might take DDad
Dinner tonight is chicken pesto pasta. I bought some chickpea pasta in Aldi which is high in protein so will give that a go instead of regular pasta.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all the poorlies xx

Morning everyone we have sunshine today and yesterday didn’t turn out to bad we seem to have missed the heavy downpours off to work in a minute I lost 2 pounds at WW last night so eating in this six hour window seems to be working for me I’m going to try it for a month and see how I manage . I need to drop a parcel before I go to work so must dash . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, thanks nmlc- glad you're having an easier week than you thought. It's a bit dull this morning but not a bad day yesterday with a fair bit of sun. Today I am off swimming in the town centre leisure centre. Then I'll go to the library on my way back to the bus and also pop into a hairdressers I've been looking at online to get some advice on highlights as mine doesn't do colouring now since he went mobile.Tonight we are off to watch DGs play in a different team, 2 of them have been drafted in as they have lost a few players who have gone to academies. He does know 1 from the other team, he lives on his road and plays with him. We should just have time to eat this week after dropping him at DS after school and getting back home. I picked up some reduced steak bake things from Mark s yesterday so the men can have one of those, I'm sure I'll find something for myself.Well done Izzy- 2lbs eh.I might try an eating window again as I seem to have stalled & that might gee it up a bit. I'm reasonably happy with my weight now & have gone down 2 sizes, but still got a bit of spare round my middleCamelot- good on you for telling your boss!TA I still have stuff here for the DGC that is too young for them now & since DS2 moved into his own house, they rarely stay over anyway but it's the waiting to get rid of the bags that annoys me - if left up to DH they're there weeks! Did get lucky last week with a charity bag collection though.Coxy let us know how the chickpea pasta is!Right, better get ready, the bus is in half an hour - have good days folks and enjoy your hols Nanny x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
TA we drove though some apocalyptic rain in South Yorkshire but by the time we got to North Yorkshire we were greeted with beautiful blue skies and sunshine, it's a bit grey now though.
Well done on the weight loss Izzy.
Carolbee, enjoy the skygarden
Have a good break Nanny, you deserve it.
I am another who knows the pain of charity bags hanging round the house for ages.
Today will consist of checking the consumables here so that we can replace them. I also have to embroider all the new sheets, pillowcases, towels etc, not by hand so it doesn't take a huge amount of time.
Have a good day.8 -
Good morning everyone well sunny at the moment but showers expected later. its certainly been a very damp spring so far.
DGS Ben will be pleased, so far out of 16 seed potatoes that he planted in his patch at the bottom of the garden 14 have broken through and have small plants there. he will be home for a few days at half term so I'm hoping if we get some more milder weather they will have grown even more.Only about 4 of the 20 onion sets have come up so far but its early days.
He bought 60 pots and seeds for his year five children to have a go at growing stuff, he's such a good hearted young man bless him and the children seem to adore him he's like the pied piper at his school.
Not too sure what I shall do today definitely some knitting this afternoon. Ive knitted 34 rows so far of the large unicorn blanket only another 308 to gobut 5-6 rows a day is more than enough at a time for me at the moment. It's around a thousand stitches a day. Anymore and my arm starts to ache. so I do a couple in the morning then the rest after lunch.
Hope everyone is feeling Ok and Polly you are resting as much as possible.
right the kettle is calling me so time for a cuppa
Have a good day chums

Morning all. Not sunny, but not raining after the torrential stuff yesterday evening and beyond..Window guy came, old school hard sell, I show you this price then this price. I was not happy, I just want a quote and then I'll decide. At one point both of them were ganging up on me to sign and I got quite annoyed. It's me who has to do the sorting out of quotes and stuff and I'm not running round like a headless chicken in seven days with a weekend in between to find better or worse ones to cancel or not. You can shove your seven days where the sun doesn't shine. And I still can't understand how a quote like that is only good for seven days. If it's good for seven days, it should be good for a month. Oh well, rant over. Now I have to find some for a boilet and radiators...Joy. Today I'm potting on, I'll leave them outside , well in the greenhouse, from now on, they can take their chances there. And of course I forgot to label the stuff I put in in the raised planter so I only know radish for sure..I have some papers to print out for the neighbour behind to sign to say we can chop the tree down and it's due to be done mid June.Coxy, hope you're happy with your hair
I bought some purple shampoo instead, looks not too bad now but I have got another lighter dye to stick on it after it's cut. Your day does not sound fun at all..apart from not being in the office that is. Izzy, well done ! It's harder when you seem to plateau and end up trying this and that to find something to kickstart you again but you've done it
carolbee, enjoy not eating in the Skygarden
Rosy, enjoy your swim, hope the hairdressers can sort you out.

Morning all
Lovely bright day here for a change hopefully a sign of things to come, I have put a wash on this morning and the washing can go on the line.
Another day off for me as I got a text last night to say my private client was still poorly, I will ring his mum later to see if she wants anything, it’s not like him to be poorly for so long bless him.
I shall go and do my shopping this morning and get it put away, I will go to Lidl as I saw some lovely french lavenders in there last week and wish I had got some, I will nip into Aldi as well as their wine is better.
Chicken kebab for dinner and I’m going to do some garlic and cheese roasted jersey royals to go with them, I saw the recipe online and they look delicious 🤤
Enjoy your holidays all those going away x
Ha good days all and take care xx9
