Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light, damp underfoot after rain during the night, rain and thunderstorms forecast for today..
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner yesterday was sausages, LO mash, LO yorkshires, veg and gravy. Remembered to get pork loins out of the freezer to defrost - we'll have those with gratin potato, veg and gravy tonight.
Back to work today - not looking forward to it as I'm fairly sure what should have been done won't have been and there's a big event on tomorrow and that needs setting up today which should have been done by the staff on Friday - pretty much know that won't have been done. I mentioned to the supervisor that on Thursday so hope some provision has been made as I'm there on my own. We'll see. Ii can only do what I can. If nothing has been done, I'll be having words.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope work isn't as bad as you fear.
We have had epic rain overnight, dry for now but there are some big black clouds out there. I spent a lot of time in the greenhouse yesterday, it's lovely to hear the rain falling when you're cosy and warm.
Hanging baskets all ready to go out, I'll wait until next week to hang them. Tomatoes put in bigger pots and lots of tidying up was done. No room in there for anything else until it's safe to put the plants at the allotment, there may be a frost yet!
Have a fabulous time Gers, what an experience for you.
Hugs to you Poppy.
Hoping everyone is fine and well.
Take care. XX11 -

Morning all
Dry for now but more rain due later I have three guests coming today and the plan was to go to a farm and hopefully see some lambing I looked on the farms website last night and then are unexpectedly shut for some reason so we will have to think again once they get here.
I have tidied through this morning and will run the hoover over before they arrive, dd has a day off today so she will walk the dogs later.
Something with chicken for dinner will see what we fancy maybe creamy garlic chicken with rice.
Gers I think it’s today you are off ? Have fun and safe travels xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning folks.Yes, today is it! I've been up for hours rearranging things - things to leave behind, things to go into hold luggage, things to go into hand luggage, I'm slightly demented by it. 😀 I'm almost sorted now. The car is coming for me at 11.15a.m.The drive up from Durham was slow as I encountered firstly a traffic accident on the A66 and then torrential rain on the M6 until Gretna. Cranstons in Penrith was a wonderful place, proper meat, veg and all things yummy. I got the coronation sausages which are now tucked up in Alan's freezer. As I jet off I leave behind thoughts for all our poorlies and those struggling. All the garden work sounds great, I'll try to keep up.Thanks for all the good wishes. Happy Tuesday to all.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC...Your work situation never seems to improve, it's so frustrating for you.
GERS today's the day at last! Safe journey and enjoy every minute of your trip.
The sun is currently shining here from a lovely blue sky but sadly it isn't going to last says the weatherman as there will be lots of showers passing through, some thundery. No fixed plan for today, bitsa this and bitsa that may, or may not, get done! Going with the flow.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Thinking of POPPY going through rough times. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been posting, we've still been dealing with family crises and with still not being well my energy levels have been low. Hopefully things have settled down for the moment and we are planning to have a few days in Yorkshire which will hopefully be fairly restful (I am not planning to cook much because we should be in Spain so I think we can have a few meals out).
Gers, have a great trip, you are a wonderful aunt, I hope your family appreciate you.
Poppy, sending thoughts your way.

Hello all, I was up an at 'em early this morning and I was in the sm before 7.45am, what was I thinking ! Anyway all shopping done for hols, just needed some fresh stuff and odds an ends. I also bought some party food as requested by DGD because she's coming for tea today and so far there's no call from DGS to follow suit..... yet. I have to sort out our holiday food and pack it except for the fresh stuff as I don't want to go shopping as soon as I get there, I just want to set up and relax.
As I'm not sure there's wi fi on site I downloaded another pile of books for my kindle yesterday, think 8 should last me 2 weeks plus I have 2 paper ones and one half read.
Hope everyone has a good day.
NMLC I hope your fears are unfounded and they haven't left everything to you.
Gers enjoy every bit of your hols.
Poppy hugs
Iris what a lovely thing to do for your friend.
Take care all

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Safe travels @Gers and enjoy your time away @dp1, @snoozer and @nannywindow x
I did the food shop yesterday along with the rest of the world - Aldi was so busy! We went to the garden centre and bought compost, some lavender plants for the front step, replacement pots for the wall hanging trellis and some tomato, lettuce and chilli plants. I used the last of a garden centre voucher received for my birthday last September so only cost us £2! DH did a load of weeding and I potted up and then joined him. Had a nice epsom salts bath afterwards but still a bit creaky today.
WFH today in fact, might be WFH all week as boss is out of the office tomorrow which is my usual office day.
Dinner tonight is SW Szechuan pork with noodles. I have dyed my hair this morning too. Sorry you're unhappy with yours @-taff, hope you can find a solution.
Will be popping to the Post Office at lunchtime to post 2 more Bay of E fundraising sales plus deoderent for DH as he's run out and it currently using mine!
Have a good day all

Morning! raining so far, which is fine because I have a busy day. We're having another person here today for a windows and door quote so I must tidy, I have to finish replying and choosing for the other quote, the tree guys are trying to arrange a time to cut that down, OHs mum wants to know when we're coming for tea, so all rooms to tidy for window measuring, washing to do, clothes to put away and a walk to do. Even though I was fairly knackered the other day after meandering for an hour, the next morning there was a brief interlude of no pain turning in bed, so I'm going to give knackering myself out another shot. I have also bought for the first time in my adult life, a pair of trainers. OH is going to give me his fit watch thing when he finds it so I can step count. No plans to garden today unless I pot on some toms in between the rain.Gers, have a lovely time! snoozer, you too! Izzy, glad your parade went well, the weather was a it unfrotunate this weekend. nanny, you just know you should have doubled the amount
Take care all and stay dry...
