You've put over £500,000 into a pension in less than two years?DB transfer maybe?
(Technically not impossible - could have been inherited or a divorce settlement - but unusual.)

Was this not a DC pension before June 2021? If so, I would look at the performance of it over the longer term rather than just a couple of years if you want a better picture of how well it has done.garyelder said:dunstonh said:You've put over £500,000 into a pension in less than two years?DB transfer maybe?

So basically you have had pension investments for many years, and you just happened to combine them during a down period.garyelder said:dunstonh said:You've put over £500,000 into a pension in less than two years?DB transfer maybe?

Your drop is just over 4%, and I just checked mine over the same period and the % drop is almost identical.
However over the last 10 or 15 years the results are much more positive.1 -
Hi Albermarle
yes you are correct, I don’t need to touch it probably until May next year or longer0 -
Even if you start taking from it then, presumably you will be withdrawing from it over many years/decades to come, so you have to think on a long time scale, not just when you first access it.garyelder said:Hi Albermarle

I will only take 3% if it goes up to 540k in the next year or I will wait a bit0
