Starting DMP

well my boyfriend is anyway.
He's going with CCCS and they have agreed his outgoings and what he can pay per month.
They said to just make a token payment this month as the DMP is hopefully starting in January.
He's paid the minimum payment and I swear Argos have phoned about 40 times today and now sky card are in on the action and have phoned twice in the last hour. I explained that he is starting a dmp with CCCS and they said they cannot phone CCCS and that my OH must phone them back.
Its starting already isn't it? Good grief they are so aggressive. I in turn am attempting to sound like Pollyanna on the phone just to pish them off.
any advice? I'm a bit scared to be honest, might unplug the phone.

Only that it will get better. They are paid to be annoying and will ring morning noon & night, you tell them the same thing but they never seem to make notes just keep ringing to see how annoying they can be. They will be aggressive, some are nice though, but believe me they will all stop eventually. You must just stick to telling them that you are with the CCCS and give them your reference number. The CCCS will write to them all with a statement of your affairs but i'm afraid they will still ring. Do not give in to them however bullying or reasonable they may sound as this will jeopodise your DMP. Hang in there, you can insist they write instead of ringing but to be honest i'm 5mths into my DMP and hardly ever get a call now. Just remember we're all with you and it will get easier. Good luck xx0

Hi there,
I am just into my second month of DMP with payplan. I wrote them all letters advising to go with my token payments of £10 and requested that they only contacted me in writing. I still got the calls but after my offer of payments were sent out by payplan I had nothing at all. Just letters.
To be honest, I was a bit of a wimp sometimes and just ignored the calls but it is better if you just give them a ref number and tell them that you are with CCCS. However if the same company keep phoning I tended not to answer after the first couple of calls - it's too stressful.
Keep a record of all your letters etc and send the letters asap just advising that you are entering a dmp and when you envisage this being set up. I think my creditors were just happier knowing that I was in contact with them.
Good luck xx0 -
Unfortunately this is par for the course with going onto a DMP. Just stick to your guns, explain you are with CCCS on a DMP and they will only be receiving what you have agreed with them. What else can they say? If you keep repeating this over and over again they will get bored and go away.
It has taken about 9 months for us to have most creditors under control.
My philosophy has been they can't take money that we haven't got and what they are receiving is better than them receiving nothing.
I will admit the first few months were horrible but it does get better I promise.0 -
im ina similar situation, getting loads of phonecalls but im clinging on to teh hope it will get better.also you need to send out teh notification statemnt that CCCS will be dealing with your account. Teh creditors will not talk to CCCS unitl they have received this.0
