Reduce office photocopier costs

My dad-in-law currently photocopies about 20,000 pages a month and pays about 1.5p a page to a maintainence company who don't seem to do that much for their money. He's happy to buy a new photocopier or change service contract. Anyone know what is the best solution for him? He doesn't need many advanced features - mainly just duplex, collate and speed but reliability is key. Maybe he is getting a good deal but it doesn't seem so.
If you need anymore details please stick them on the thread and I'll reply.
Thanks in advance

0.8p per copy is about what we're paying Danwood at work, reasonably happy with them too.semi wrote:Must be an old copier to pay 1.5p per copy ,I'm an engineer for a national company we service Sharp,Ricoh,panasonic,kyocera/mita average cost on a new copier for copies of 20k per month would be about 0.8ppc.

but your dad needs to check his maintenance contract to make sure he's not tied into one where he needs to give 12 months notice or anything like that. We did have an old machine which had been given to us, and paid upfront for a year's maintenance, but the machine we have through Danwood is on a lease, longer term.Signature removed for peace of mind0
