Good morning folks.
Well, what a day it was yesterday. I watched every minute of the coverage, my friends did a park run and a swim first thing whilst I didn't. 😀 After an enormous picky lunch and tea another set of friends arrived to join in the fun. Lots of wine drunk, lots of chat and a huge amount of laughing. Great day all round. Such a shame about the weather in London, we had bright and warm sunshine here.
Today will be much less boozy and festive. The house is still quiet, I'm the only one moving around. Four pairs of trainers at the front door tells me that the son, who went clubbing late in the evening, is home and brought three friends to stay over. Must all be sleeping on his bedroom floor. 😂
My thoughts are with our poorlies. I hope that everyone enjoyed the coronation. Happy Sunday to all.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another lovely day forecast here, long may it last!
I had a lovely day down the hill at DD's. She had gone to town as usual with banners, flags and balloons decorating the house and garden. A lovely afternoon tea was waiting for us when the ceremony finished, Middle DGD had made scones and cupcakes which were delicious. Rose Prosecco was chilling with Nosecco for the girls. The sun was shining on us, it was hard to believe London was having such nasty weather. A shame but it didn't seem to spoil it for the crowds thronging the Mall.
Today will probably be the usual Sunday Sloth day. I left a large chicken crown out defrosting so a roast dinner awaits. Will do enough veg to warm up for a repeat dinner tomorrow.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning All
It's overcast at the moment but due to warm up later. One load of washing on the line, the other can go in the WM once I've had a shower. Bathrooms have been cleaned apart from the shower, I'll do that when I'm in it!
Yesterday was a bit showery, I potted on some veggies in the greenhouse and bought a lot from the nursery, mostly for the hanging baskets, will do them next week. Must plant out some of the other plants I bought to replace those lost over the winter, rain stopped play yesterday.
I watched the crowning of the King and have to say I was completely non-plussed by the whole thing although I do like to see the horses doing their thing.
DD and the little one are coming over this afternoon, hope the sun is shining by then.
Hope everyone is well and having a good weekend. Take care. XX10 -
Morning everyone and thanks for the start @Gers x
We watched the ceremony yesterday with DDad. ILs arrived just as it finished so I did some filled rolls, crisps, scones etc. I enjoyed the spectacle - no-one does pomp like us Brits.
SIL has been discharged from hospital as has put on 5lb so now 4st 5lbs. She will be treated in the community as they clearly need the bed - just ridiculous.
Off to DSis' today for a garden party so hope the weather cheers up. I did go to a boot fair with DDad at 7am only to find it not operating due to a water logged field - could have communicated that last night but no! DDad has gone back to bed!
Have a good day all

Morning all,it's lovely & sunny and felt quite warm when I took the dog out. The clematis along the fence is starting to flower,I'm glad that one didnt die like the one on the other side did. We had a lovely meal out last night at the local Italian. Not sure if DS1 will be in for tea tonight, he set off early to meet up with his car mates, but we'll be having picky bits anyway. We ended up taking some birthday gifts to our oldest friends yesterday afternoon, it's next weekend but we can't make it that day. They were pleased to see us , & we were entertained by a squirrel and a wood pigeon sat on their windowsill vying for the nuts, they have a lovely large garden and get a fair amount of wildlife.TA sounds like you had a lovely day, Gers too.I need some new plants too Camelot, might do that later, or perhaps tomorrow.Enjoy the rest of your weekend x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone my friend is bringing her dog later to stay overnight they are off out somewhere she’s no bother I watched a bit of the coronation I like to see the horses and the marching was brilliant as usual Camelot I’m a bit like you I wasn’t bothered about the rest nice to see the children and George waving . Coxy that’s shocking about SIL what a worry.another overcast day here it did stay dry for part of the day yesterday but I think it’s showers all the way this week. I’ve found a piece of beef in the freezer will cook that for tonight with veg and Yorkshire puddings. Morning..not sunny..did a whole lot of nothing yesterday except dye my hair a blonde colour I hate. It's grey anyway but I fancied something different. Now I will have to do it again. We watched Game of Thrones on the dvd player, first series nearly fininshed. One of his friends came round last night and we munched on the tonnato sauce and sliced brisket so there's not much left of either now. I've amost cracked that sauce, I love it, I spent months last year trying to find out what it was because it was once served by my auntie about thirty years ago and I never knew what it was called. OH is playing Talisman with friends today, I may do some desultory gardening. And boil some eggs to go with the rest of the sauce
Take care all, enjoy your days...

Morning all
Dull and overcast here and yesterday we had rain all day it’s all a bit soggy round here !
We got the downstairs hall lights up yesterday they look so lovely I am very pleased with them, just a tiny bit more plastering to do and a surround for the fireplace and the new mantle to put up then we will be ready for the decorators,oh and the new curtain poles and handrails to be fitted, good job OH is so handy 😬
DD is working a late shift today so OH and I are going to the pub for dinner and a couple of drinks it will be nice not to have to cook.
I did not see any of the coronation yesterday apart from a few clips on FB, but I am glad those who watched it enjoyed it.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Hello all, I enjoyed the spectacle of the coronation yesterday, shame about the weather but we had the same here, I think all the parties must have been called off. Some parties are on for today and the sun is shining so I bet everyone organising those are happy.
I watched BGT last night as the DGS of an old friend was singing, Travis George. He's come such a long way since he lived on our road as a child and was very shy and autistic, sadly I saw a bit of that again when Simon spoke to him. He did so well though, he's a credit to his Mum Debbie and Grandma Sally.
Today Dad is coming over for the day, so it will be a roast dinner and gammon sandwiches lo from the gammon that I cooked yesterday, followed by trifle for tea. I have put a load in the wm, didn't think there would be any more washing before our hols, oh silly me ! At least it should dry outside.
Coxy I hope that SIL is on the road to recovery now that she's been discharged and not go back downhill.
Take care all, stay safe and keep well. Hugs to anyone in need.

Hello everyone
I'm very jealous of everyone who has had sunshine today all we've had is fog apart from 10 minutes when the sun came out - by the time I'd gathered together my paper, a cushion and a cup of tea the fog was rolling in again!
Little one and I watched the coronation together yesterday - she has been very interested in it all and has asked lots of questions...some quite deep like 'how are some people princesses and some aren't?' She tooted her trumpet and banged her drum along with the marching bands...she was particularly taken by the beefeaters...'I really don't know how they can see where they're going.'
When it had finished I took her out on her bike for some fresh air - rather chilly air!
This morning she woke me and asked 'are we going to Butlins tomorrow?' - only if you go back to sleep was the rather grumpy reply!
We went to mam and dads for a roast dinner and then took my cat to the cattery. I'm going to have a nice long soak in the bath and check I've got everything packed before an early night. DD wants to be on the road by 8.30 in the morning. I'll catch up with you all next weekend x8 -
