hello clever peeps.
We have just got married and want to buy a second home abroad. Main house in uk in husbands name only so is mortgage. We want to take money out of the house and then apply for me to get a mortgage to put towards the 2nd house in Spain
my question is are we better me borrowing and paying directly to the Spanish home (husband will take equity out of uk home) or should I take out mortgage and pay into UK home and he take out the larger sun that way?
grateful for any advice thank you

1 Your husband might be able to " take equity " out of current home if the lender is happy
2 Can you even get a mortgage in the UK for a property in Spain ?
You need a broker who deals in Spanish properties.
Don't forget new EU rules about living in Spain
Most things are possible if you have the money but rates have increased and lending much more difficult to obtain.1
