Morning folks.
My trip down only took me five and a bit hours. Mostly free-flowing traffic apart from my first 30 miles behind an unfeasibly large and very slow load (part of a lifeboat I think) which was under police escort. Three jammy dodgers ahead making oncoming cars pull in. It all stopped at the next town so the trapped cars got out. However, forward planning was causing chaos on the Rest and Be Thankful so I was very thankful to have got ahead of it. How it will have got down the very winding and twisting road I can't understand.
Anyway, had a lovely evening with friends, a comfy sleep and I'm now showered, dressed ready to watch TV for hours.
Take care everyone, I hope that our poorlies feel better soon. Happy Saturday to all.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I'm pleased you got there safely. It's fine here at the moment with the promise of a bit of sun but we all seem to be forecast rain at some point today.
I am off down to DD's shortly to watch the Coronation with her and the girls. I hope it all goes to plan and the weather isn't too unkind.. It takes me back 70 years to when I watched the Queen's coronation, crammed in a friend's house with lots of other friends and neighbours! They were the only ones in the lane with a tv so it was in demand. It was followed by a street party, dodging the showers! I have an enlarged photo of us all in our winter coats and raincoats! and it was June!!
Have a good day folks whatever you are up to and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
I have been invited to my lovely neighbours to watch the Coronation and raise a glass or two to King Charles
Hope you all have a great day.10 -
Morning allSafe travels GersJust hung some washing out and it feels very mild out there. Hopefully it'll nearly be dry before 10ish when, according to the forecast, we could have some rain. Just looked at the London weather forecast and it still looks like it's going to rain all the way through the procession there and back. I feel for the poor soldiers and all the people lining the streets. Hopefully it will be a spectacular ceremony though.Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies x11

The weather isn't too promising today, washing can stay inside.
Shopping, allotment and garden nursery today, may also watch a bit of TV. I was going to travel down to my elderly Aunt's but she's not feeling up to visitors so have a long weekend to myself.
Glad you arrived safely Gers.

Morning all... Been up since stupid o clock so sofa naps are on the cards. Nothing on the cards today, just sitting round, doing nothing. Wached Guardians yesterday, absolutely fab, going ot be going back to watch it again, I cried a lot of times...The first Guardians I watched about five or six times in the cinema I loved it that much. Second one, not so much...I may or may not watch a bit of Charles, I like some of his greeny policies but also don't like some of the stuff that his spiders web does. Ah well, it's not like my opinion will make a worms casts difference to anything thereTake care all, safe future travels, enjoy your days....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Morning everyone
Very foggy here this morning. The children all enjoyed their party yesterday, lots of parents and other family there too - our school hall was packed. Little one was delighted as DD brought my mam down with her - she was proudly telling everyone 'my great gran is coming to the king's party.'
I got all my stuff sorted last night for going away on Monday.
I've got a few jobs to do this morning then DD will drop little one off to watch the coronation with me...I'm going to make us a picky lunch which she will love.
Right I'd better get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x11 -
Morning all, it's raining here again. I got all my errands successfully run yesterday and a few small tasks completed this morning. I've had a bacon butty and I'm now going to watch the coronation in all it's glory, pity it's raining there too.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing.
Take care all

Morning all
Pourimg with rain here and set in for the day, there are coronation activities planned in the village such as a picnic and a four mile walk with musical instruments etc, I am not sure they will go ahead now due to the weather, I will watch some of the highlights later on today but won’t be watching it all as it’s not really my type of thing (sorry 😬 )
We are going to put the downstairs lights up today and I need to order some bits to make curtain poles and a handrail for the stairs.
Nasi goreng for dinner tonight I got some lovely pak Choi to go in it along with some chicken, should be tasty.
Have good days all and enjoy the coronation if you are watching xx

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a pleasant day. We were up and at 'em early for DGS football match, he scored a goal but they lost by a narrow margin. Ds was head coach today as the other chap is away for the weekend. We passed a newish Al di on the way back so called in for some bits- when I got my delivery earlier in the week I forgot it was another BH
. DH wants to go up the road to the little Italian tonight if we can get in.
We watched a bit of the Coronation and the crowning ceremony but may go out this afternoon, although DH is snoozing on the sofa at the moHope you all enjoy the BH weekend x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9
