"Incorrect and likely misleading" information about maintenance loans in England on Gov.uk could lead to a material number of students not getting the full amount they're entitled to. That's why MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis has today (5 May) written to the chief executive of the Student Loans Company – the body responsible for the relevant pages – urging it to fix the errors.

Is it possible to apply to be reimbursed? As I feel that we were affected by this. I tried to get a current year assessment and was told I couldn’t do that. And I think they are wrong, but at the time didn’t have the energy to argue with them. But we struggled massively as our income dropped significantly during the year my husband was studying as I was also on maternity leave. But they kept assessing my income from 2 years before. Which was not our current circumstances and so we also couldn’t get the student childcare grant for our other child in nursery either.
It was the financial year 20/21 and 21/22.
