She emailed her MP asking to be added to the list of people unable to get through to Future Pensions on the telephone. And her MP forwarded her complaint along with her details to the DWP.

That's a surprise. I thought they might go for the end of 2023 but not 2 years. I guess the internal discussions were, "Let's go long and then that's it, absolutely no more extensions" but who knows.1

Bound to be those who will decide to 'save' their money until the very last minute, just in case they fall under a No 13 bus just before SPA. Then the phone lines will be maxed out again. Rinse, repeat.
