What is that on a National Express coach?

They've been on buses for a while now - it's for increased visibility when turning from additional angles.
Something like this?

It's a corner clearance or marker light.
If you think about it, HGVs and coaches are very long and if they just have front and rear lights like your car they would be hard to spot at night from acute angles, so they fit them with additional marker lights.
Some are designed to mark out and illuminate the length from the side, others mark the corners which helps the drivers when manoeuvring.
It's a long way back from the drivers seat to the rear corners of a coach or HGV and at night without these there'd be nothing to mark out the corners, they also have the tendency to swing out the rear when doing tight turns, so knowing where the corners are is important.
Some are wired into the lighting circuit or they can work off a cruise lighting controller so they can be controlled independently.
Side markers are orange but the corner markers like this one are white pointing forward and red pointing rearward.
They aren't particularly bright, often only 5w but it's enough to pick out the length of the vehicle from a reasonable distance.

Is it for the lady whose a##e is the size of a small country..?🤭2

Try driving something 40 - 50 - 60 feet long and manoeuvring through traffic and narrow roads. Notice the back end of a vehicle and when it turns it swivels on the rear wheels and the overhang is considerable. Rear view mirrors have improved considerably over the years. First time I drove a bus the mirrors were something like 4 inches X 3 inches. = It is not only busses and coaches these are fitted to. Same can be said about lights - remember when you could barely see them and the slamming on of brakes.
In other words these are just improvements for drivers and safety
