Scottish Widows Retirement Account

HI all

is there anyone on here with any recent experience of the SW Retirement Account?

I have a PP with SW that ive just transfered to their Retirement Account - i now have access to said account online but cannot see my funds in there anywhere?

As SW are such a pian to get on the phone , at least anyone worth speaking to , i wondered if anyone else had made this step and if i'm just being inpatient as I'm waiting to withdraw some TF?

thanks all!

I have a SW Retirement Account and no current issues with accessing the account and viewing funds on-line. I select Account Enquiries/Policy Valuation, if there are no details there I suggest you contact SW to find out what's going on.

I've completed one withdrawal of tax free cash, but no taxable income yet. There is no way of doing it on-line, you have to call them & an agent arranges it for you. They go through a rather lengthy & tedious set of scripts on the dangers of withdrawing too much money etc, but you just have to sit through it and say "yes i am aware" at the appropriate times.

To be fair the agent i did it with (in February) was excellent, knew what he was doing and the money was in my account in about 5 days.

I think I have seen some previous posts that SW have been having a major software update and during this period, people were locked out of accounts or could not see info etc .Maybe that is now coming to an end.

They go through a rather lengthy & tedious set of scripts on the dangers of withdrawing too much money etc,

This happens with a first withdrawal for all pension providers to a greater or lesser extent. Sometimes it can be a few on line questions/filling in a a form , or as in this case a personal discussion.
