TERMS AND CONDITIONS for LOVE AGAIN ON-AIR COMPETITION.

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at:  (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Online Competition is available via the following routes:   Online at:  to pre-register for your chance to win on air.  The entry for this element is live from 00:01 Monday 3rd May until 10:00 Thursday 11th May 2023   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	Pre-registration for the on-air game   To take part in this competition you must submit a confession consisting of 20-50 words on the online creative page and register your details, which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to section 1 for entry route.   Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.   Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game   There will be 4 chances to win the Prize Package as described in Prize 5.0 which will be executed in daily competition rounds during the Magic Breakfast Show (see 2.4 How to Win).    For each of the competition round, there will be a shortlist of 15 semi-finalists chosen each day by random electronic draw from all valid entries up to that point.  These semi-finalist draws will take place at the below dates/times:   The winning entry from each morning will be read out on air during the following time and date(s):   For the competition on Tuesday 9th May 2023., the draw will take place at 10am on Friday 5th May 2023   For the competition on Wednesday 10th May 2023, the draw will take place at 10am on Tuesday 9th May 2023.   For the competition on Thursday 11th May 2023, the draw will take place at 10am on Wednesday 10th May 2023.   For the competition on Friday 12th May 2023, the draw will take place at 10am on Thursday 11th May 2023   From the daily shortlisted semi-finalists, the Magic Radio production team will contact 1 shortlisted entrant at random to check their availability to play the on-air game at an agreed time and date. If the shortlisted entrant cannot make the agreed date and time, they will forfeit their chance to enter the next round and the production team will move on to another randomly selected entrant from the short list and repeat the process until they have found someone that can play in the on-air game.   Speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize; only when told you are a finalist by the team will you progress to the next stage of the competition.   The Competition will air during Magic Breakfast on Magic between 06:00 and 10:00 Tuesday to Friday during the on-air competition period (see section 3. DATES). Exact timings of the competition within this broader timeframe will be given by the production team, upon contacting winners. There is the chance that some of these competition rounds will be pre-recorded prior to the show times but after the finalists have been selected.     How to win   The entrant’s confession must be between 20 – 50 words.   The contestant with the chosen confession will be brought to air and their winning confession will be read out by the Magic breakfast presenters.   All final decisions rest with the Magic Breakfast production team.   The Magic Breakfast Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Pre-registration will be open from 00:00 on the Wednesday 3rd May 2023 (pre-registration start date) until 10am on Thursday 11th May 2023 (pre-registration end date)   There will be 1 x competition round broadcast every day from Tuesday 9th May 2023 (on-air start date) to the Friday 12th May 2023 (on-air end date) during Breakfast Show between 06:00 – 10:00 Tuesday to Friday.   Entries received before the pre-registration start date or after the pre-registration end date will be invalid.   Please note Magic Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.   Winner Announcement: The name of the winner will be announced on air during each competition round.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

We are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.   TERMS & CONDITIONS: Prize is for 2 adults; The Recipients must travel at the same time with the same itinerary; At least one traveller must be aged 18 or over; Anyone under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel; Standard class Eurostar from London or economy flights from major international airports in London only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Mode of transport will be selected by the prize provider; Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into accommodation; Accommodation is based on two adults sharing one double occupancy room in Paris, France Accommodation will be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion; Accommodation for the Recipients does not include any meals, incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls. Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the Recipients. A credit card for incidentals will be requested by the accommodation at check-in and therefore at least one of the Recipients must possess and travel with a valid credit card; the prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; All elements of the prize are subject to availability; If unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered at prize provider’s discretion; Winners must contact prize provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure; Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. Where there is a vehicle hire element of the Prize, a driver must be over the age of 25 and have held a full, clean driving licence for the last 2 years. The cost of any fuel, additional insurance requirements, deposits or charges for damage etc are not included. The choice of any vehicle from a hire company is subject to the hire company’s approval and availability. Any other excursions or activities which may be available on the holiday, but are not expressly mentioned in these Terms, are not provided for or included within the prize. The cost of any such excursions or activities are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and any guests. We accept no liability for any such activities undertaken by a prize winner or their guests whilst taking up the Prize.    Travel insurance is not included as part of the Prize and is the responsibility of the prize winner and any of their guests to secure and to pay for. It is your responsibility to ensure that you (and any of your guests) are fit, well and able to travel. We reserve the right to withdraw the prize from a prize winner and re-award the prize to another entrant where health reasons or concerns prevent a prize winner (or any of their guests) from taking up the Prize.

1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
