in Cutting tax
Hi
I have been working for about 6 years and moved jobs a few times. Whle starting jobs I recall being on emergency tax until my papers were processed to put me on the normal tax code. Should I not have had this back at some point? I am now a mum at home with the little one and didnt get much help finacially except for child benefit so I guess every little helps.
Any ideas???

PAYE operates on a cumulative basis, so it is possible that it has worked itself out.
However, it is worth phoning your local tax office for help. Quite often they have an enquiry desk that can help you. You would need to have the relevant paperwork; payslips, P60s, P45.
Hope that this helps.0
