Lake District: Campsites near public transport?

I'm looking to go camping in the Lake District (campsite, not wild) via train. Can anyone recommend campsites near the rail stations (Windermere, Oxenholme, etc)?. Ideally somewhere lakeside or near hiking spots, so there's stuff to do. Willing to be flexible on budget, as accessibility will be the main dealbreaker.

Great Langdale Campsite is accessible by public transport ( bus ) and offers a discount for those who arrive without a car.

From Windermere station  take the 505 or 599 bus to Ambleside, and from Ambleside you can pick up the 516 Langdale Rambler. For timetable information, call 0871 200 22 33 or visit Traveline or Cumbria County Council.

Are there any campsites with public transport that are close enough to the trails to the peaks. I have a friend who's not so clever on their legs if the climbs are too long and arduous. They can manage Mam Tor (The Peak District) on good days. (Sorry to hijack this thread.)
