Pinch punch. First of the month. Eeek, May already.
Yesterday was a sort of washout. I had plans to go out then read the weather forecast which had a yellow warning of storms, lightning and torrential rain so stayed at home. No storm or lightning, merely light rain. Not sure whether I feel relieved or annoyed. 😀
I've so much to do this week as I'm invigilating three times and got a fitness class on the fourth day. On Saturday I ordered a jacket for express delivery and now anxious about it arriving before Friday. Just madness!Dragging myself out of bed to crack on. Thoughts to all our poorlies. Happy Bank Holiday Monday.11 -
Morning Everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
Weather here a bit grey and we have had rain. Hopefully the weather will perk up so that I can go for a walk.
I had a lovely day yesterday with a friend.
Happy Bank holiday Monday. x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. We had a bit of a dismal start here but now blue sky has emerged from the gloom and the sun is trying to get out. Hope it stays like this all day and I might get a bit more pot sorting done out the back.
As if my view of next doors ugly fence from the kitchen wasn't bad enough he is now out attaching that wicker screening stuff to their side of it making it look even worse. Oh well I suppose it gives me a bit more privacy too!
What gets done today is weather dependant! If the rain comes back I am determined to make a start of a thorough prune of the wardrobes. I keep looking and then sliding the doors shut again in despair!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning everyone
We have blue skies and sunshine today...hopefully the forecast will be wrong as it says its going to rain for most of the day.
No plans for today other than tidying and hoovering downstairs and starting to sort some stuff out for going away next week.
Will probably see DD and little one at some point as I have some new shoes for her to try on. I got them from Clarks outlet online shop and they were about half the price of buying them at the shop.
Right I'm going to make a start
Hope everyone has a good day today x12 -
Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here with rain due at lunch time but sunny again this evening.
We got the upstairs lights up yesterday they look really nice, I got some vintage ones from the Rolls Royce factory they are a real statement piece, we will take the shades off before the decorators come to make it a bit easier for them, the down stairs ones may or may not get done today will see how we feel.
DD I’d off to work at lunchtime and is doing a sleep in and an early tomorrow so she will be back tomorrow afternoon, so just OH and I for dinner I think I will do fahitas as we have peppers and mushrooms to be used up.
Will have a quick tidy round this morning and then get the dogs out for a good walk.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning allLovely day yesterday. It was warmer outside than it was inside! Cloudy today but temperature not too bad. Just come in from the garden after potting some sunflower seeds, some for us and some for DS's garden. I've also re-potted some indoor orchids that needed freshening up too. Not much else going on today, maybe watch a bit of snooker this afternoon. Off for a shower after finishing my coffee as I am a bit grubby after being out in the garden and my hair looks like a scarecrow's after putting lotion on it for my psoriasis (it's doing the job too, hooray!!)Keep safe everyone x10

Hello all, it's a brighter, drier day today after we had rain almost all day yesterday. I found some of our holiday clothes but I think there must be some more in a suitcase in the top of the wardrobe. I'll have to get Mr Fix It to get it down as I need a ladder and that's a no, no, I'm in the drunken sailor club today 😂 I made a banana and sultana cake yesterday too, then covered it with melted chocolate mmmm. I'm looking forward to a slice of that with a cuppa after lunch.
Today I'm expecting DD and the DGC at some point to come and collect the hamsters after their weekend away. I was dreaming last night that the hamsters all had babies and we were over run with them !
Happy Bank Holiday Monday to all, hope you get a rest from work today.
Take care everyone

Morning all, raining earlier, still a bit grey with the odd patch of blue now & then. DH & DS2 decided to go and work this morning as they'll have an early finish tomorrow & Thursday, DGC are both participating in an inter schools football tournament. I did want to go to the retail park but will have to see what time DH comes home .I spent this morning looking for something under the sink & thought I might as well tidy it and chuck some stuff. Found the item but at the other end from where I startedLast night we had flat iron steak with pepper sauce, green veg and roasties for the men. Good news on the electric oven front which stopped working when DH put his steaming roasties in without switching it on ( a couple of weeks ago). It was full of condensation, and after I dried it all off it kept tripping. I had the hairdryer on it, then put a big tray of rice in ( well they suggest it for mobiles which have got wet
) Nothing to lose so left it. Tried it again yesterday and it worked!! Saved us a chunk of money getting it fixed :)Tonight will be a roast chicken dinner & leftover apple crumble.
Last night I realised the library book I was reading got more familiar as I got further into it so decided to check on my kindle- yep there it was. Will have to take them back on Wednesday when I go to town/swimming & continue for now with the one I'm reading on kindle - I use it at night mainly . I can manage without my specs as it's backlit. I wouldn't like to fall asleep with the specs on.The lights sound good Ruby.Chrisca my hair looks like a scarecrows without putting any lotion on it! Glad it's working though.Ok, love to all & imaginary hamsters Nanhave a good day/ trips away etc. X
