Advice needed for solar panel certification.

We have recently had a 7kw inverter installed (10.4kw on the roof) and 10kw of batteries.
The installer stated that this would include : "Includes all material, labour, commissioning and certification" which I stupidly took to mean MCS and G99.
I spoke to MCS and they have never heard of them so there goes the MCS cert (and any chance to sell back to the grid) but I believe that there should be a "Part p??" cert and the G99 is not optional.?
While we will continue to try and get in touch with them if they refused to answer what do people recommend I do next?

I think in your position I'd be contacting Citizens' Advice in the first instance.

Can you find the company on the MCS website:
https://mcscertified.com/find-an-installer/
If not, you may be out of luck.
When I researched solar companies, I used the MCS website to find local installers to ensure they were registered.
I know it doesn't help you now, sorry.0 -
As well as MCS, can you find them on NAPIT or HIES? You may be able to make a complaint about their lack of action that way.
It is possible to get SEG payments without MCS, its just the most straighforward. For Octopus its under clause 5.4(ii) of their export T&C's
Lack of a G99 is a problem either way though. Installations not covered by a G98 must get permission in advance of connection.
3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux1 -
Double check with HIES/MCS using postcode rather than the installer's name. Not all installers use their company name as their trading name - eg LDH Global t/a Light Renewables.
