i decided to complain about this anyway…  14 years later. Turns out I was right. They settled with a £30k adjustment to me. 

So the advice on here can sometimes be not to your advantage.

Not really as there was very little info given and the thread died very quickly    No advice was given 

We also don't know why they decided to uphold.  Maybe it was as simple as not being able to locate the file or the file was not upto standard.   FSAVC complaints have a round a 11% uphold rate.  So, some succeed in the complaint.

The comments here can indeed be wrong, but in fairness, the original poster replied to comments from @dunstonh and concluded with the words:

'Ah, that means they sold me the correct product...thanks for your sound advice...' [OK, not advice, but correct anyway!]
