Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but wet underfoot and misty - rain forecast.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a choice of fish, chicken, potatoes, rice, veg. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having.
Lots to do today so will crack on steadily, working tomorrow morning.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Wet and dismal this morning but quite mild. We did need some rain for the garden but it can stop now!
Hoping your appointment goes well today Jackie.
Haircut after work yesterday so I'm all tidied up, need to get my eyebrows done now - there's always something.
Manic day at work again, so many trips to organise and had to take minutes of a meeting, something I haven't done for quite some time. Will get them typed up this morning hopefully. Our HT is under the impression we can get all the reports sent out electronically within 24 hours, once I had stopped laughing he was put in his place!
Glad it's Friday and a long weekend ahead. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks.I don't mind warm rain! Honestly. Yesterday was so cold, the north wind just gets everywhere. I brought the heated throw for a wee while in the evening. My invigilating stint was interesting. One student sitting Advanced Higher biology with a reader. I enjoyed listening to the questions. TAFF - it's not a sinecure here. The school struggles to recruit invigilators, the pay isn't brilliant and making sure that the ridiculous amount of admin (before and after each exam) is done correctly is tedious. And then the payment is taxed. I enjoy that it takes me back into old stomping grounds to help make sure that the diet goes ahead.Today is my shearing time. My hair last was cut on 02 February so there's three months of growth to chop off. The weather isn't giving me a lovely drive down the peninsula, it's rather murky with low cloud. Still, I've got an audio book on the go to keep me going.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.10

Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off nmlc. It's wet and dull here.
Fingers crossed today for Jackie.
I'm taking a friend shopping today as she has broken her ankle.
Happy Friday.

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
DDad arrived last night and is staying with DSis for a couple of days. He didn't get the booked special assistance at Gatwick and has already fallen out of bed and cut his head!! Visit going well so far! I popped some food round to BIL yesterday after work. He is very angry with SIL/the situation - not sure how you can be angry with someone who is mentally ill but there you go.
I've stripped DD's bedding and will put on fresh/air the room for DDad's arrival here on Sunday. Not sure whether to risk putting on the line as looks like more rain for us today. Haircut later and I'm seeing The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry after work. Read the book a few years ago, so looking forward to it. Dinner will be a quick SW carbonara.
Good luck to @London_1 (Jackie) for the procedure today x
Hugs to all our poorlies and missing. Hope @nannywindow is okay - miss your posts x
Have a good day all.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's mizzly and dull here too this morning and none too mild either! I couldn't get to sleep last night and consequently slept in this morning which is annoying as I like to be up and at 'em early.
Yesterday didn't go to plan as I had the 2 girls here at short notice. Teacher's strike day. So, apart from doing the kitchen and bathroom before they came, nothing else got done. So today is Friday Tidy plus some!
I want to make an attempt at sorting out the freezers later as stuff got rammed anywhere after my unplanned shopping trip and there is no sense of organisation in them.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning everyone
Drizzly here this morning. I'm hoping for some nicer weather over the weekend so I can get some tidying done in the garden.
Jackie - good luck for today.
Eldest DD has been away with work on a team building trip - she sent me a photo last night of where she'd gone for a run - one side of the path was Germany the other side was Switzerland and France is close by too.
Going down to do dads banking this morning then I've got work at lunchtime, hopefully the rain will stop so we can get outside for a play.
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all, dull but dry so far. I think my two pencil cypresses out the front may have had it, the foliage is brown on the outside and that doesn't grow back. I'll leave them for a bit though in case. More and different tablets from the heart bloke yesterday, I don't take that many I suppose but I struggle to remember to take them now they've changed to morning and evening. Better get myself some more of those dose box things so I can parcel them out. OH is away this weekend so I'm planning to do some small DIY things to see how they go. I really need a daily structure in my life otherwise I'll sit on the sofa till I die.Jackie, hope they send Dora somewhere else to explore today, fingers and legs crossed. Izzy, that did make me laugh, enjoy your holiday!
Gers, sounds really interesting though, must be nice to see shining youth and see their future possibilities. Coxy, I fancy that too, both great actors. Some people just don't grasp what MH can be like for the sufferer. I know I didn't use to. And sometimes anger is down to frustration too. I hope they can help her. TA, good luck with the freezers
Take care all and hello to the unposters

Morning allWent to do some food shopping this morning and walking through the car park the weather actually felt mild! Fingers crossed for a pleasant bank holiday weekendAfter having knee trouble (which still hurts) I've now got scalp psoriasis!! Only had this once before and that was around 13 or so years ago. Heaven knows why it's made an appearance again after all this time! I think I'm slowly falling apart ;-)Don't know if any of you have watched a show from a while back on TV called 'Modern life is Goodish' with Dave Gorman but he's doing a tour at the moment and am really looking forward to going to see him tonight.Have a good day everyone x7

Hello everyone, thanks for starting nmlc. I'm a bit late today, lots of admin/typing for DH- invoices sending, get some money in! They've been on the current job for too long, the customer keeps changing their minds on the layout of stuff like the kitchen after it's been installed, leading to a lot of extra work
so he's a bit fed up. Did some mopping, emptying bins etc after that & got waylaid by neighbours either side chatting
Usual DGS pick up, DGD has been off school all week with a cough & cold. I want to do a bit of baking before we do that so I'd better get crackingCamelot the head sounds a bit 'inexperienced'.Dp1, interesting trip for DD by the sound of it.Happy haircut day to a few of you, mine needs doing too.Coxy hope your SIL gets the right help she needs.Taff hope you get the DIY stuff done this weekend, and TA freezersEnjoy the long weekend Izzy and everyone. Hoping Jackie gets her procedure done today.Bye for now x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9
