Haven't told Universal Credit that my partner is pregnant

Hi,

I was under the impression that I only needed to report a change of circumstances when our baby is born, they are due in June. I work, so my partner has no work related requirements. I have read online that I need to make UC aware from week 20, she is now 31 weeks. The fact my partner is pregnant hasn't changed anything to do with our claim, so I'm hoping this is going to be OK?

She shouldn't have any work related commitments from 11 weeks to the birth date and 15 weeks after.

Thank you, was I expected to tell them at her 20 week point? I was under the impression I only reported the change once our baby was born. I don't want to be sanctioned.

You've to fill a form, i think the midwife helps.

"You must provide evidence of the pregnancy and the due date by providing a MATB1 from your GP, hospital or midwife. You can get a MATB1 when you are 20 weeks pregnant so you shouldn't report it before then".

"However, if you have a health condition at any point in your pregnancy, you will need to tell Universal Credit."
