Overdales - is it a scam?
Hi everyone. My daughter is at Uni full time and lives with me. She doesn’t have any credit cards or purchases on finance. She just has a Monzo debit card for day-to-day expenses. She has Asperger’s and likes everything to be up to date and uncomplicated. She’s received an email this morning from Overdales saying they weren’t able to collect her payment from the bank this month and to either click on the link or phone them. She has absolutely no idea what they are trying to recover so tapped on
‘sent from’ on the email and it seems to be genuinely from Overdales. She tried to phone the number and the number doesn’t exist. Her only worry is that a couple of years ago she got a call from Student Finance saying she had to pay back a maintenance loan overpayment but she hadn’t had this payment and it transpired it was a mistake on their part an she heard nothing else. How does she find out what this is about? Thanks

Over dales are the legal arm of Lowell portfolio one ltd, they used to be known as Lucas Credit Services.
Lowell are a debt purchasing company, Over dales act as their solicitors, it could be a scam company trying to pull a fast one, or it could be genuine contact.
Keep in mind that anything of a legal nature requires Lowell/Over dales to actually write to you, setting out what there business is with you.
