Not a very well worded question.
Charles will be the 40th Monarch crowned in Westminster Abbey but there have been many more accepted Monarchs.
Egbert is generally accepted as the first King as he ruled over Anglo-Saxon England and there were 17 more up to and including Harold II in 1066.
Charles will be the 42nd Monarch as from William I but Edward V and Edward VIII were not crowned.
So, overall, Charles will be the 60th Monarch depending on who you include or discount.Bob10 -
