Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but cloudy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's from the fridge, chicken, potatoes, veg, yorkshires and gravy for 1, chiciken and rice for another and I had stir fried veg with soy sauce. Shepjerds pie tonight unless I think of anything else.
Work today will be busy but slightly earlier finish although I'm working on Saturday morning, but day off on Monday due to Bank holiday.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Very overcast this morning, I think the rain is definitely on the way today. The garden could do with some rain - every cloud!
Called to see DD and the little one yesterday, DD is unwell again. She keeps getting a very annoying cough that never really goes away, will nag her again for a doctor's appointment.
Great news about your local school dp1.
Hope your appt went well Gers.
Iris - I have a little rabbit (wild) that visits regularly, very cute but it's eating the plants!
Shocking about your friend taff. It seems that no job is safe at the moment.
Haircut after work this afternoon, good job as I'm like a mop!
Happy Thursday, take care. XX9 -
Morning folks.Dull though mild here with rain promised. My appointment was good yesterday, the physio was really supportive and helpful. She's given me great advice and a couple of new exercises to do before my next appointment. I came away feeling much more positive about my future. When I got back home my cleaner had been so floors were sparkling and surfaces were dust free again. 😀
This afternoon I have my first invigilating session, I'll need to root out a book, last year I took my earbuds to listen to an audiobook so I'll try that again. It's usually a peaceful and calm three hours sitting watching the pupils either scribbling away furiously, thinking hard or staring into space doing nothing.Happy haircut Camelot. My own mop is being tackled tomorrow, last time was in mid February.I hope that all is well. Happy Thursday to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a bit of a dull start here and doesn't feel to be getting any warmer. There was the ever present nippy wind with us yesterday. Is it ever going to get any warmer!
My resolution not to buy anything for the freezers was shelved yesterday and quite a few ys items, with good reductions, ended up in my trolley! It was a struggle getting it all in the freezers so there is stuff rammed anywhere. I'm a lost cause when it comes to food hoarding!
Housebound today so a bit of cleaning will (may!) get done this morning and if it feels any warmer there are jobs awaiting outside. I am not a cold weather gardener!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Good news DP1. Happy haircut day CAMELOT I hope she doesn't get as scissor happy as mine did! When I get up my hair is sticking out at all angles! Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone another chilly one but dry up to now TAFF it’s shocking what’s happening to your friend I’ve always said people who work with the public should be better protected if people who worked in a factory or in a office walked in and spoke to the other employees like that they would be sacked on the spot I’ve had things thrown at me and sworn at and threatened with violence for petty reasons or no reasons at all I was in a supermarket last year and the young lad at the till had a great big badge on saying he was deaf but could lip read and this mr important was unloading his trolley when he asked did he need any bags to which you get the usual of course I don’t I’m just going to balance these on my head you idiot when he looked up with a sneer and saw the badge and me staring at him he couldn’t pack his stuff fast enough but not fast enough not to hear me thanking the young man for being so helpful the same one would complain if he hadn’t asked him what they don’t understand is if there is a manager within earshot who doesn’t hear you asking these things you are pulled believe me working with the public you could stand on your hands and clap your feet and you still couldn’t please them rant over . Off to work in a minute it hasn’t been to bad this week it will be busy next week catching up after the long weekend but I will worry about that on Tuesday. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all, and thanks for the start nmlc x
I didn't manage to get on yesterday. I was in the office and it's bonkers busy. Met a friend after work and made the mistake of wearing a midi dress WITHOUT TIGHTS which was a bit draughty tbh. DH has gone off camping until Monday and left at 4.50am. Worrying news that SIL has been admitted to hospital weighing just 4st and a BMI of 10. Just hoping she can get the help she needs as clear MH issues. She finally got a bed yesterday after 2 days in a recliner chair. Just waiting for an update.
and breathe....
I too think it's shocking the way folk talk to and treat those in customer/public service. I used to work in a cafe and there's nowt more grumpy than someone wanting food or drink. I reckon it should be mandatory for everyone (a bit like national service) to work in a service role to understand how to to treat people. Hope your friend is okay @-taff x
I've often wondered about invigilating @Gers - might look into that for the future.
Slow cooked chilli con carne for dinner - just DS2 and I tonight so there will be leftovers for the freezer.
Have a good day all and hugs for all our poorlies and missing x

Morning all, it's a bit dull today. I've got my Mr M delivery shortly, not used them for a while but free delivery and a £12 off voucher tempted me
I shall probably cook tea with something that arrives. One sub is a bigger chicken than the 1 ordered
I'm going to have a good vacuum around downstairs today, Ly1a is moulting and being such a big pooch you soon notice it. Speaking of dogs, next doors new puppy is driving us a bit daft. They say he always wants to be outside, trouble is he barks & yaps continually when he is, no idea what atI went to cut a dead clematis down the other day but she did take him inside once she saw him at the gate 'talking' to me. Quite funny though the way ours turns her back on him and goes back inside with her nose in the air, it's like she's thinking 'little upstart making all that noise'
Gers glad the physio went well.Taff hope your friend is ok.After my pleasant swim yesterday I wandered back through town, bought a few things at a savers shop,& a gingerbread for DGS for after school, library and had a coffee before my bus came.Need a rethink about which bag to take, you forget how heavy a wet towel & cossie are, coupled with the books. Might have to revert back to the back pack and a separate one for the books. It seems daft not to go & change them when I'm in town and it's def saving me money by not buying for my kindle.Right off to dig the shark out, have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Dull and overcast here and rain due this afternoon, day off for me today as my client has a hospital appointment so a nice long weekend for me.
Im taking mum out today she wants to go to a garden centre, there are two small independent ones locally which we can go to and then I will see if she wants to get some fish and chips for her lunch while we are out.
I need to tidy through this morning and hoover, I have put a wash on which will have to go on the airer.
Dinner tonight for OH and I is steak and chips with roasted tomato and a stuffed mushroom, dd is working a late so she will get fed at work.
I was thinking of nanny yesterday I hope she is ok, I was wondering if she had heard the news about Nels as she has not been on here for such a long time, Nanny please let us know that you are ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xxx7 -
Morning all, not sunny, but not raining. Thanks all for your thoughts for my friend. The guy who did the last thing, the opening of a car door and chucking stuff on her runs a shop, so he went in and got something to do that specifically. It could have been anything he throwing on her. Can you believe her boss expects them to valet the car on the inside? I mean I know they can wipe surfaces but they can't clean chairs...And talking to her yesterday, the police have not yet got back to her after four days. I know they're busy, but like she says, they're always asking them, have you seen this car, do you know where this is happening, have you seen these drug dealers, so a bit of quid pro quo would be nice. So anyway...today I have heart guy again, I'm expecting more and different tablets again. I got virtual tickets to visit a wool show locally this weekend so I think the wool stash may increase. I want to use up the wool I have to make a nice big blanket for the sofa or bed. I was feeling all virtuous and no, not me, I've only got half a bag of wool, little miss smarty pants, until I remembered I've actually got two big ones upstairs in the back bedroom. Oops.camelot, I hope she takes your advice. Gers, I'm glad you feel more positive and you have something to do today...sounds interesting but I'm thinking round here it's probably a sinecure. TA, well, it won't got to waste will it?
Izzy, it's just shocking isn't it? Honestly, it always surprises me that people who act like that then wanted to be treated nicely like they deserve to be as vile as they like but expect sunshine and flowers and back. You get what you give...Hope you have a good day in anticipation of the weekend.Coxy, that was very brave of you, you were probably lulled into a false sense of summer by some sneaky sun...Hope they can help your sil. and I think you're right about mandatory serving the public. Rosy, i did smile at your dog taking the high road
Ruby, enjoy your day out, hope your mum gets something nice..nanny did log in briefly on the 17th but hasn't been back since, so fingers crossed she's ok...I've been woolgathering again, so take care all, shout to the missing, hope you're having fun Scarlet, bella...

Afternoon everyone
I hope you'll all had a good day. I'm feeling pleased with myself as I've just made gnocchi for my tea with a cheesy smoked bacon and pea sauce - as in made it rather than get it out of a packet! I followed a Jamie Oliver recipe which was for 4 people so I halved it but I could have done with a little bit more.
I planted a couple of clematis when I came home from work though it was quite dull and drizzly. I hope the weather cheers up a bit for the Bank Holiday weekend x6
