Hi! Not sure if anyone has any ideas, but I am looking for a secure (lockable) filing cabinet, ideally on wheels. So far, the best I have found is one at Argos for £39.99, but only two of the three draws lock...does anyone have any ideas they could share? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried looking in your local newspaper, or advertising newspapers such as Loot and Friday Ad?
Also, there may be a secondhand office furniture shop near to you which is worth trying.
Or you could advertise in one of the above newspapers under Wanted!0 -
tesco and office world have some i think (sorry) they were 19.99 but were A4 size, so a4 doesnt quite fit if that makes sense
they are smaller than you would normally find, two drawers, try the websites. saw office world ones around 3 months ago and tesco last week.Ready to Go Go!0 -
Even if it's on wheels, a 3 drawer filing cabinet is going to be very heavy when it's full!
I don't know if a dolly would work? You can get them from Rapid Racking - do a search for dolly!
If that would work, then it's often really easy to get a key for a second hand filing cabinet, or you can fit a padlock and hasp - either to every drawer or to any single drawer which doesn't lock.
But bear in mind that too much overt security will scream "There's something worth having in here", and a determined thief will cause a lot of damage to find out what.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

There are lots of Office Furniture Recycling Warehouses around the country and they do them for about £40 but they are the proper 4 drawer re-lockable ones.
I bought one recently and it came with about £40 worth of hanging folders thrown in. Look in your yellow pages for 'Office Furniture'I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
