If they are serious about wanting payment they will write and explain what this is

If they never write to me informing me why they want to speak to me and I continue not taking the calls, does that mean they will they just proceed with taking me to court without prior warning?
The reason for not speaking to them over the phone is twofold - for a start if they actually want to pursue the debt they HAVE to write to you by post. And second, it would not be the first time that something agreed over the telephone has mysteriously disappeared from the record, or indeed been materially altered, subsequently.1 -
if its any consolation and helps put your mind at rest. PRA group have been constantly trying to phone me everyday for the past 6 months. I have blocked their number but i can see it on my phone logs. Sometimes they leave a message asking me to ring them but i dont. I assume its because they cant obtain the cca i asked for over 5 years ago. If they had found it and wanted to threaten or take me to court theyd have to write?. Until then im happy to let them fruitlessly try and call me.1

If they do get through to you on the phone, I suggest that you ask them to put everything in writing.1
