Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but cloudy start to the day - cloudy is forecast for the day. May get some sunshine so wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Last night dinner was smoked sausage and mushroom pasta - tonight will be jacket potatoes with cold meats and boiled egg - want to use up those from the fridge.
Work wasn't too bad yesterday will be busier today have a few things to do. Also put a proposal to my boss - which I hope is going to be given the go ahead - it will make my working week better. I have to wait and see if it's going to be agreed by the management.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc fingers crossed for your proposal.
Still no rain but a frost this morning, I covered up some plants in the garden last night, hope they survive.
Visited the library after work to take back some long overdue books and get some more out. Also called to see the optician, I have something floating in my eye and sometimes get a flashing light, hoping for a call back today.
Enjoyed a bit of sunshine when I got home but it was a bit too chilly to sit out and read although it was sunny.
Mad day at work, one of the excluded children came in and we couldn't get hold of his Mum - he caused chaos until someone came along with another child - total madness. Not sure how long the staff can stand being verbally and physically abused day in day out. Worrying times.
Thinking of you today Scarlet.
Take care everyone. XX10 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's fine here, cold though. Yesterday was really cold with a North wind, and even light showers of sleet!
Hope your hospital appointment went ok Gers.
It's dil's dad's funeral today, so we'll be out for a good part of the day. I'm going to go out early for a few items that we need to take with us tomorrow when we go away, milk and bread and something for sandwich filling. We'll have a picnic lunch on our way.
Hope the family situation resolves Snoozer.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks12 -
Morning folks. What a nightmare for you Camelot. 🥰
Scarlet - I hope that all goes smoothly today.Yesterday went well. I whizzed down to Glasgow first to do a couple of chores and then off to Paisley for my appointment. Yes, the car parks were packed though I managed to find a space near the bottom and close to the building I needed. My long-standing non-urgent problem was solved in 20 minutes. I was so blooming happy I wanted to hug the doctor and nurse (didn't, of course). The long delay was down to me so I'm so grateful to having been seen so quickly, and all sorted. Now got some meds to take for a couple of months. On my way home I called in at our local Indian takeaway / restaurant for a couple of onion bhajis. 😋 Poured a glass of wine, ate my food and then went to bed.Today I continue my self-care week by seeing the audiologist. My hearing aid needs a wee adjustment. Then I'm up to Oban to collect a clothes order at Marks and do a little shopping as I swerved doing it yesterday. It's very cold this morning so the woolly jumper is back in use. The sky looks bright and promising so who knows how it'll go.Thanks for your good wishes yesterday. Hugs to our poorlies and missing. Happy Tuesday to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The promised frost arrived overnight but the sun is now shining so should soon be gone. We avoided the rain yet again yesterday but it was blooming cold in the wind.
I had a nice meet up with my DF yesterday and was semi good when I chose my lunch! I got a pasta dish which is marginally better than something and chips! TAFF I agree there would be no pleasure in a bowl of salad!
I have the hairdresser coming mid morning but I only really need half a cut! She went a bit mad with my length and fringe last time so I only really need the top and sides tidying up. I would have waited a bit longer but the rest of the haircut group were ready for theirs doing so went with the flow. Then early evening I have my Covid Spring booster down at the surgery. In between I shall potter on with a few jobs, both in and out if the sun keeps shining.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. SCARLET I hope the funeral goes as well as it can do and you enjoy your break in the caravan. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here and no rain due for a change, three visitors coming today and we are off for a walk and a picnic and a mooch around the shops with tea and cake 😃 this was their choice and I am more than happy to go along with it !
Ive had a quick tidy round this morning and I’ve run the hoover over, I need to take big pup to my mums this morning, little dog has already gone to my FIL, one of my guests today I’d frightened of dogs so it’s best they are out of the way.
Dinner tonight will be something with chicken thighs, maybe summer in winter chicken as that’s very easy.
Gers when are you off on holiday ?
Scarlet I hope today goes well xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x I hope your boss agrees to your proposal - if you don't ask you don't get IMHO.
I'm WFH and have washing to do. One load almost finished and I'll pop it out on the line as blue sky here and no rain due although it's to cloud over later. Hoping to get out into the garden for half an hour at lunchtime to do a little tidying as didn't get out there at the weekend due to the rain.
Glad you enjoyed your meet up @TravellingAbuela x
Good that you've a solution to the medical issue @Gers, sounds like a productive day x
All good wishes today @ScarletRibbons - hope it all goes okay x
@camelot1001 - that's terrible about the lad - so sorry you have to put up with that, sending hugs x
Enjoy the shopping and cake @ruby_eskimo - doesn't sound like work at all !!
Dinner tonight is parma ham wrapped pork with spinach and garlic stuffing. A new recipe for us, so hope it turns out okay!
Have a good day everyone and hugs to our poorlies and missing x

Morning everyone Camelot one of my sisters is a teacher and she tells me some horror story’s I’m afraid I haven’t got the patience I would end up with the sack . It’s chilly here this morning but bright yesterday was freezing and we had a little bit of snow and lots of hail showers of course the bosses wife came in didn’t speak to anyone but turned the tiny little oil filled radiator off that we have to heat the whole shop so I turned it back on and told her straight I wasn’t working in that cold we couldn’t move our fingers they were that cold and if she wanted to keep them off I would be going home she said well I think it’s warm outside and stormed off we made a point of working at our own pace then her hubby said as we came out if you would like any overtime at the weekend as we are going away we said no you couldn’t make it up in there .WW tonight I will be disappointed if I haven’t had a loss I’ve been very good and had a lot of good walks in i need to get cracking. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off nmlc.
The sun is shining and I already have my washing on the line outside.
A neighbour is coming round for a cuppa and chat this afternoon.
I had to giggle TA when you said your hairdresser was coming but you only wanted 'half a cut'
Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday7 -
Morning! Sunny and I am feeling all go get 'em today. Phoned a tree surgeon and some window place yesterday to see if anything can be chopped of the tree and how much a new porch will be. Also going to be emptying under the stairs, I want the stairs fixed because some of the treads are coming away from the risers at the top of the stairs. New boiler research is going to go on as well. Got another load to put in the wm, and one to hang out and some gardening to do so I will be on it like a car bonnet whatever that means today...Izzy, well done! You don't have to treat people who work for you like poo, it's about time she learned that. Good luck tonight. Fingers crossed. TA, half a cut ...
Gers, glad you were easily sorted, what a refreshing change
[not for you I mean, just in general, it's to have something non serious and easily taken care of...I'm nmot explaining this very well am I?} camelot, hope it doesn't degenerate again today. Take care all....
