Hi
after some advice for an interview I have next month. Its for a training role within my currently dept. I have to do a presentation on how I would deal with having 2 weeks to role out a process I disagree with to staff. Any tips appreciated. Many thanks

These things really come down to the detail of how your company operates, size of areas, typical way of deploying these things etc. Likewise are you purely training or really part of change management?
The bit about not liking it, assuming its part of the stated task, is really a bit of a red herring, at the end of the day whatever the change is someone wont like it and so you will have to be prepared to rationalise why the change is going to happen no matter if you personally love it or hate it. The only other bit is to be conscious of your bias if you still dislike it after discussing it and ensuring you can still sell it to others.
Personally would speak to the owner of the proposed change and understand the reasoning behind it etc. Impact access the change (scale of change, risk of change, users impacted, big bang change or transitional period etc). From that decide training delivery mechanism. Create materials and any tracking for standalone training. Update existing wider training materials, user guides, controls etc to reflect new process. Deliver training. Track adoption and consider reinforcement activities if necessary - these will depend heavily on the culture of the company (carrot -v- stick etc)0 -
If you disagree with the process chances are there will be staff members you are introducing it to who will disagree - more than just the usual dislike of change. So worth thinking about that too.

Very much a case of addressing what you actually disagree with and why. Then you would be able to include those as part of the roll out so that the recipients know that these issues have been looked at.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
