Does 'under 12' mean you can only claim until the child's 12th birthday? Our youngest turns 13 end of this month, so would we be able to claim credits for the last tax year?
Thanks.
Thanks.

No I don’t believe so:
You are entitled to National Insurance credits if you:
- are, or have been, claiming benefits due to ill health or unemployment
- are, or have been, on maternity, paternity or adoption pay
- are, or have been, looking after a child under 12
- are, or have been, on an approved training course
- are married to or are a civil partner of a member of the armed forces and you went with your partner on an overseas posting
- are, or have been, on jury service
- have served a prison sentence for a conviction which was later quashed.

It’s under 12 - in the year they turn 12 children go into Year 7 in England (which is Secondary for most) and it’s Secondary 1 in Scotland.Fashion on the Ration

Thanks both for the clarification.0
