Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, but cloudy..Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was gammon, egg, hot new potatoes and veg.
Last work day for me - pleased as it's been a bit of a week. Next week looks as bad but at least we have a Bank holiday to look forward to.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's a nice bright morning, but cold. Yesterday was a sunny day, but oh so cold, I wish it would warm up a bit.
We had Covid boosters yesterday so we now have sore arms , but it's only for a day or two.
Not much going on today, except sorting a few clothes out - we are going away on Wednesday for a few days in the caravan. Going North this time, to southern Scotland.
It's dil's dad's funeral on Tuesday, a sad occasion, but also with happy memories. They are a close family and will support each other, and of course are also supported by we inlaws. We've always had a good relationship with them.
Hope you are feeling better Camelot, alse thoughts to anyone else who is not well.
Hoping everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.12 -
Morning All
It's due to be another glorious day, just wish that chilly wind would die down a bit although it is a bit calmer this morning. Washing on the line, should be dry by the time I get home.
I got the grass cut yesterday so the garden is looking a bit tidier, I'll need to visit the nursery soon as there are lots of gaps where quite a few of the plants died over the winter. Lots of seeds poking their heads out in the greenhouse, some of the veggies can be planted out over the weekend hopefully.
Last swim of my challenge tonight, half a mile to go (I've been doing a bit over a mile each time so it's all added up). May treat myself to a G&T to celebrate!
Sorry you've a funeral to go to Scarlet, great that you all get along so well. Thanks for the get well wishes, I'm feeling a bit better each day.
Missing Nanny, hope you're ok.
Your days with your guests sounds great Ruby, so happy for you that you made the change in your life.
Hope you all get to enjoy some sunshine today, take care. XX

Good morning everyone and thanks for starting us off NMLC.
Weather is looking good and I'm off to the coast with friends.
Hope you all have a lovely Thursday. x10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I'm WFH today thank the lord. Ended up staying late in the office as boss needed a new laptop building and she had to go out for an appointment, so I had to wait for IT to complete it. DH cooked a lovely pasta dish - all SW friendly which is good. I'm feeling quite bloated after all the bread and sugar I've eaten during the walk!
DS2 and I have pup here today. DH is in Birmingham - back later. I've put a wash on of some of my walking gear and will get that on the line later as it's due to be nice here today. Dinner will be massaman curry, so nice and easy.
Hugs to all those struggling and also to our missing folk - where has nanny got to?
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning everyone Coxy well done on finishing your walk I couldn’t of walked through a herd of cows I once got chased by a herd one of them ate my skirt as I jumped over a barbed wire fence I still look at that fence and think how the hell did I do that FEAR and I’ve still got the scars to prove it good job I had a cardigan on it made a lovely skirt otherwise I would have had to walk home bottomless if that’s a thing .Scarlet enjoy Scotland I hope this weather warms up a bit for you it’s so chilly here and it has to get colder off to work soon roll on the weekend. I’ve got salmon out for tonight hubby’s having fish cakes nice and easy that’s what I like . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all.The sunset last night was blazing red though the morning is very cold. My gardener came yesterday morning and soon tamed the unruly grass with her big mower. It looks so much better but in need of scarifying, there's so much moss in it. I've arranged to hire an electric scarifier next week for my gardener to use, I'm ready for a baldy lawn!My visit to the bank was as useless as Monday, their travel money programme wouldn't load. Just as I was beginning to feel peeved the teller suggested that perhaps I could order via online banking or even the app. She wasn't sure but, bingo, I opened the app and there was an option to order currency. 😀 All done in a handful of clicks with money being delivered to my house today. Sometimes modern technology is the bees knees.First thing I left a voicemail for my hairdresser cancelling my appointment today and rearranging it for next Friday. After that I was able to feel relaxed as it was worrying me all night.I'll be grappling with modern technology again today when my new upgraded phone is delivered. I'm ready for it, current phone backed up the the mysterious cloud so that it should all just be transferred by being close to the new phone. I'm always in awe of such things. The fridge is almost empty. I'm determined to use my stocks from the freezer. Ages ago I bought some lovely meat from Donald Russell so am digging into it. For two days I've had delicious lambs liver, long fried onions, mash, peas and carrots all from the freezer, apart from the mash. That's instant powder from an American company, all in sachets. Originally it was available from Costco but now from Amazon. It keeps for years and is very tasty, much better than Smash. (Is that still around?) Today I've got homemade soup and bread out of the freezer. I'll probably give in soon and do some shopping though it won't be today.Scarlet - hope that your sore arms ease off soon.Camelot - enjoy your final challenge swim, you've done so well.Coxy - welcome back from your walking challenge, another one doing so well.Iris - what a lovely day for a visit to the coast. I hope that you'll have an ice-cream too.My thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Thursday to all.11

Morning folks. It's a gorgeous sunny start here but blimey it's still cold .I actually slept well last night and didn't want to leave my cosy bed.
I had the usual good bus day out yesterday but the cold wind forced us in for an early lunch to get warmed up. We bypassed the pies this time and settled on an all-day brunch for a change. A nice bottle of wine accompanied it and lot's of chatting was done so it was a very pleasant couple of hours. I bought a summer skirt in one of the cs and have yet to try it on. It may well be going straight in the charity bag I am supposed to be filling.
It's a stay home day today so some cleaning will be getting done hopefully! And the laundry basket is looking a bit full so that's another job on the agenda.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Missing NANNY. Take care all and stay safe xx

I watched it the last time when in the Apple shop, this time I'm doing it myself. I'm not usually technologically challenged. Doing the wallet thing will take the longest!I have no idea why all the posts I write on my tablet always come out with odd spacing. I've been editing them to look better when on the laptop, like now, but suppose it doesn't make much difference really. The weather forecast for next week is showing cold, just have to wait for May to be out! Flowers that is, not the month.TA - can't beat an all-day brunch!
