Noddy/stupid question about octopus agile

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but from what I can see the “peak” price for agile currently is the same as the all day price on flexible, while the SC is a bit lower.
Is it a not a “no brainier” because there is a risk of it going above that as prices fluctuate?

Not a stupid question at all, it does say on their website it is capped at £1 a KW for my area but it must be capped at the current government guarantee?

As I understand it, chances of Agile exceeding the price cap of .34p these days are next to zero (when current gas prices and the EPG discounts are factored in).
For us, we've averaged below .25p per kWh for the past couple months. Even late last year, during the peak, we averaged ~10% below the price cap.
Now we import via Agile, buy gas vs. Tracker and export PV at 0.15p per kWh. This combination is highly lucrative and removes the need for a battery.- 10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.

Thanks guys- I just struggle to see the downside and why you would choose the flexible option when it’s the same price at peak time, but a lot more expensive at other times! But I guess things will change when the price cap comes to an end.
i always thought companies could go over the cap as long as it was a different sort of prop which saved you in other ways0
