Does anyone know where to go to find an old BT pension that was frozen from about 1989 1990. Have married & divorced since & obviously moved several times but have tried the pension finder service but I don't know what the company will be called these days. Thank you

It won't be frozen as BT have no schemes that can be frozen.
Google bt pension scheme and it gives you: https://www.btps.co.uk/Index

"Deferred" not frozen.
Do you have a letter concerning your deferred benefits at the date when you left the scheme?

Your pension will not have been frozen.
It DC, it will continue to have grown in line with the markets in which it's invested. If DB, it will have continued to revalue in line with the scheme's rules.
As well as contacting the current BTPS administrators directly, you could also try using the pension tracing service: https://www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details0
