Photovoltaic solar on 1930s semi

Options
Hi, I am a total novice and am looking for some advice on what would be a good solar setup for our house which has limitations which makes it  feel a bit suboptimal…would be grateful for any thoughts.
1930s semi approx 6m wide facing east-west with approx 45deg pitched roof, with hip to gable loft conversion
Front: east facing , has 2 velux and a bonnet roof over bay
Back: west facing, full width flat roof dormer
Rear ground floor extension, flat roof approx 5x5m (note the conservatory in the screenshot has been replaced on same footprint)
Side ground floor utility / garage with dual pitched roof 2m x 9.5m

Space on our east/west pitch on the main roof is limited by the velux/bonnet roof/flat dormer. I am not sure how much of a limitation this is.
The long narrow garage utility has a south facing pitch which could be utilised? (Is it too small?)

Should be start by getting a few companies in to design / quote or are there independent consultants?

You can put panels on a flat roof as long as its strong enough, you have like these plastic angled things which have ballast in to stop them blowing away.

I believe you now require planning permission for flat roof installations?

Don't the panels have to be in the same plane as the roof?  If so, then flat panels on a flat roof would be okay.

Most professional solar companies should survey prior to installing.

Your South facing garage may work if the panels are mounted in "landscape" format, as most panels need ~1200mm of clearance. You will get between 5-6 panels on garage and another 4-6 on the East aspect. I cannot see a viable (unshaded) West facing aspect.
