Moving from tax free childcare to 30 hours free

Hi

Our son turns 3 in August so we will be getting the 30 hours free childcare from the start of the new September term. He currently goes to nursery 6 hours a week and we just get the tax free childcare at the moment.

How do I go about "upgrading" to 30 hours free? The gov website says I should apply between 15th June - 31st July but I don't want to do anything that will screw up the tax free childcare we get currently.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can still use tax free childcare when getting the 30 hours so the application wont mess anything up

I got this message when I tried doing it before, but I guess it should work ok when I come into the reconfirmation period.

When my kid turned 3 in July last year, we got the 30 hours free code when doing the reconfirmation around the end of April
