How are solar panels fixed on

I just viewed a post online, where the solar panel bracket was clamped to a roof tile.
I am guessing that they are also bolted to the wooden roof beams.
How easy are they to remove, if they fail?

I can't see a reason why one would fail but it won't be easy to remove as you'd need the same scaffolding as for installation and need to remove more than one panel potentially to remove the bracket and refit the mounting rails.
You can see the fitment herehttps://youtu.be/m9ukxKHW6-c
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
The panels won't stay on the roof very long if you only clamp them to roof tiles. Mine are screwed onto the roof timbers, with brackets that tuck under the tiles.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.3 -
I saw a similar post! There is no way I'd allow that on top of my house. Solar panels are typically mounted onto a roof using a specific mounting system that securely screws them into place, helping to ensure the British weather doesn't send them flying! Taking them off really depends on whatever system the fitter used.
