Nectar, connected accounts & Sainsbury's Smartshop..??

So yonks ago now I opened a Nectar account. Certainly 10+ years ago. I then got another card for my wife & that was that - each of us had a card but it was tied to one account. If I wanted to stop additional cards from spending points then I could do this in account settings, if I wanted to allow other users to spend points then I could do that too in account settings. Everything was easy.
FFWD to the present day & for some reason Sainsbury's SmartShop app isn't working for my wife, despite her entering her correct details. Just refuses to accept them.
No problem I thought, I'll go on to the Nectar website (first time in a long long time) & order a new card & we can try that route.
This is where the issue is.
What's going on these days? I can't see my wifes card as part of my account any more yet when she buys something & uses her card, on the receipt it has the correct points balance.
That's the first question.
Second is how do you get Sainsbury's SmartShop to sort itself out?
Last resort for me is a phone call which I imagine is probably going to be the answer, based on the fact I don't like phoning people & my wife even less so. Since her card is connected to my account (or is it? It certainly was yet it's not showing), can I do the contacting or does it have to be my wife who does it?
And yep, she could create a brand new account all of her own ... but then that passes up an easy access to £250 of Nectar points, plus it avoids the issue - everything SHOULD work.
