website won't accept non British passport

Options
Hope this is the place to post this.....

OH is trying to book a cruise for next year and can't do so online because I don't have a British passport but a foreign one instead.  Anyone know if companies won't allow non British to travel with them or if it's just a case of him having to ring them instead?

It's to a area/countries I've been to in the past so I know there aren't any immigration restrictions.

I would try calling the company, only they can give an answer.

I know that Australian residents had problems with Cunard - the cruise was only in Australian waters and no passports were required.  They were able to use their driving licence details but only by directly phoning Cunard.

All answered on the phone so no problem in the end.  Except that my passport expires before the cruise.  Now trying to work out when I should actually renew it given various potential travel plans, the need to reconnect with an ex manager to get his signature on the application and calm OH who thinks that I have to have at least 6 months on it for travel to anywhere (can't see anything that says that, just 3 months required for Schenken)
