Life after mortgage free

A few years ago I posted about becoming mortgage free. I planned to stop carrying on that thrifty mindset but I decided to aim first of all for a target of £50k savings post mortgage free and then that became 100k. Now a few years later it should be heading towards 250k by the Autumn. With interest rates changing I should be able to get a few hundred pounds per month in interest from the banks (a similar sum, I used to pay them for a mortgage). Be disciplined, aim for your financial goals because it accumulates and knowing I could sell everything and have options without feeling chained to a specific job, takes the sting out of a typical 9-5 grind every single day of the week.
