    Ok, then I'd set up the payment plans with the defaulted debts and just stop paying the others. The more communication you have the longer it will take to get the defaults.

    Watch for any court paperwork, but they can't do anything until they default you. It's just a back- up in case you miss the default letter. Or monitor your credit record.

    Remember that they will try and help you if they can. If you say you've had a large expense then they may just put things in hold to try and help you. If you want a default then either stop with no explanation or specifically say you want a default and don't contact them again.
