Sometimes on Amazon you are offered a return via Royal Mail or Post Office. There's usually a "Print a label" for free option for you to take to the Post office. There is also a Royal Mail collection option at £2.99. However, you can be crafty... Select the PRINT AT HOME LABEL option for taking to a Post office.Print & apply to parcel.
Then go onto the Royal Mail website and arrange your own collection as currently until 30 June 2023 Royal Mail will collect for Free! You add the Tracking number (from the label you have just printed off) & go through the process & Checkout for free! Hey Presto - your parcel will be collected from your home for free! SIMPLES!

I don't have a printer (or a smart phone) so I took a photo of the QR code on my camera from the computer and took the parcel to the Post Office. I was dubious that it would read the QR scan... but it did.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

This has been stopped by Amazon. You can no longer print a post office return label
If you choose to return the package on amazon via the post office you now get given a code only that you have to take to the post office, where they will print out the postage label.
So you no longer have a tracking number to use on the Royal Mail free collection.
I would like to know the legitimacy of Amazon charging £1.99 for a FREE postal service however, as Amazon are liable for return cost as per the 14 day return window under consumer contract regulations for online orders.0
