Do Aegon also require this "advice" if you want to transfer out the whole pension to another provider?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)

Potentially yes.  As is the case with all pensions now.   It really depends on who you are transferring it to and if the receiving scheme is cleared for quick transfer or not.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

I had the call with Fidelity last month and there was none of this.  Their paid for service wasn't mentioned at all.
I have not been through the process, but I think it has been mentioned on previous posts. Probably depends on the person you are talking to. Thanks for the info anyway.
