Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Not raining at the moment but yesterday was raining and windy. Forecast is not good for the coming days - yet more rain.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Now getting light damp underfoot but not raining at the moment - that's forecast for later.
Work was busy but ok yesterday, hoping today will be ok, but only working half day and at another office.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. The weather is horrendous outside. Rain and wind have been battering down all night with no let up in sight. Yesterday was lovely until about 6pm when the heavy rain started. My friends went off with their cycles to Luing for the day. I only took some things to the tip. In the evening we all went to the local hostelry for our meal but then straight back home. I was in bed in time to watch Masterchef.Today we're having breakfast together in a wee cafe and then planning for a games day which I'm looking forward to. 😀
I hope that everyone is warm and well. Happy wet Wednesday.11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
Sounds like you're having a good time with your friends Gers.
I hope you managed to meet up with your friend for lunch TA, it is heart breaking to lose a pet. Getting out might make her feel better.
Hello Poppy !
Yesterday was sunny and windy until teatime when the inevitable rain started, it was raining really hard when we went out to the quiz.
I'm meeting a friend from the Book Club this morning, just for coffee and chat.
Glad you're feeling a bit better Camelot.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.

morning folks and thanks NMLC for starting us off. At the moment we have sunshine but it looks a bit windy out there. Rain is in store from mid morning apparently.
I have the pleasure of an eye test this morning. It's only a year since my last but my eyes weren't co-operating for the peripheral vision test so it was decided I needed a 12 month recall. If I need more new specs I shall find somewhere cheaper! I spent enough last year!
Whilst down in town I want to do a stock up of otc meds and toiletries in Savers, I'm running out of everything all at once. Then maybe a quick browse in the pound shop, where very little is a £1 any more.
For anyone following the sad story of my BFF, she is rapidly worsening. Because of her mobility and confusion she is now confined to downstairs with carers going in 4 times a day. She is not in pain and somehow remains cheerful.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Gers enjoy your games day, that's the best plan for a wet and windy day. Take care one and all and stay safe, warm and dry xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning everyone TA your poor friend how sad which reminds us all your health really is your wealth I hope she remains pain free. Gers enjoy your games day and everyone else stay safe . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning All
Very windy this morning, the rain and wind have been battering the windows all night but it seems a bit drier this morning. Washing dried outside yesterday in record time, I nearly didn't put it out.
So sorry to hear you friend isn't doing too well TA, hope she stays comfortable.
Enjoy your coffee and chat Scarlet.
A stay the same isn't a gain Izzy, hang in there.
Enjoy your games day Gers.
I went out in the greenhouse yesterday and planted some more seeds, now we need some sunshine. I've just seen a little rabbit in the garden, first time I've seen one here. Chased it away as it was having a munch on the new green leaves. I've not many plants left after the harsh winter so can't be doing with feeding the cute little bunny with what I have left!
I'm going out today, mask at the ready. Feeling a bit better again so making progress.
Have a good Wednesday, take care. XX10 -
Morning all
Raining here and set in for the day, last night was like winter 🥶 again with the wind howling and rain lashing against the window, we lit the fire and were all cosy indoors.
Yesterday we went to a local RAF museum which was really fascinating and quite sad, lots of war stories and artefacts the clients loved it and we will go again.
Today I am off to collect my private client and take him to work I suspect we will be doing inside jobs as the weather is so bad.
Tonight I have a big review meeting with my work they are coming here and it will last about two hours, I will try to prepare the dinner before they come so I can just reheat it once they have gone, I might do a chilli and rice.
Got a lady decorator coming Saturday to give me a quote she sounded really nice on the phone so fingers crossed she will give me a good price.
TA I am so sorry to hear how quickly your dear friend is deteriorating how terribly sad Xx
Have good days all and stay safe xx11 -
Morning everyone
It was very windy and pouring with rain all night here too...I put my electric blanket on so I was nice and cosy when I went to bed. Still windy this morning but nice blue skies.
I enjoyed the film I was stewarding at yesterday - Whats love got to do with it - very predictable but nice
I had a nice chat with eldest DD last night - she was home from Prague on Monday night and back to work yesterday.
I'm taking little one to Easter crafts at the library this morning - DD will take us in as it's on at an awkward time for the bus. Since our Home Bargains moved from the high street to a retail park out of town there's no where to have a wander for 10 minutes if you have 15 minutes to fill in.
Then I'll bring her back home with me for the afternoon. My brother is coming up to stay at mam and dads overnight so we're having a chippy tea - dad's favourite treat.
Hope your meeting is ok Redruby - your clients seem to have a great time with you.
Camelot enjoy escaping from the house.
Right I'll wish you all a good day x12 -
Morning...raining..obvs. Just finishing up a baby blanket type thing in the same style for my cousin, her cat loves living in pockets of things, so this one is just for him. And is matchy matchy. Heard the any old iron man just in time to get the old wheelbarrow out so that's saved me a trip to the tip, I can definitely postpone for a while. I made some homemade kebab type things with the lamb last night, warmed up the meat with the rest of the gravy [not much] and a good chunk of harissa paste along with shredded cabbage, carrots, onions, more harissa mayo and homemade flatbreads. There's enough left for another few meals [leftover mousaka type thing] but I'm not boiling the bones, the fox can have them. I'm not a fan of lamb soups/stews. We're over to OHs mums tonight so whatever I make is going in the freezer.TA, I'm glad you're friend is not in pain, I hope that continues. camelot, hope your virus goes soon. bella, yours too! Gers, oo, a games, night, sounds like fun! Izzy, keep going! you can do it [ whatever it is!] Ruby, you don't half live somewhere interesting, there's always something to do where you are...Shout out to the missing and unwell, take care all too....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9
