MrsM had hers weeks ago dated Feb, not received mine yet.I wonder if it is different systems, mine comes from The Pension Service and hers from DWP. I know they are the same place but the letters are headed differently.0

Dont know which ours comes from but as the increase has now started we should have been informed.0

Dropped on the doormat this morning dated March
In a white envelope and not the usual brown.Completely different format of letter to MrsM's. Mine is a benefits increase letter and hers is a SP increase. Both of us are post 2016 pensioners.1 -
Ours should be just state pension pre 2016.0

Mine is purely post 2016 SP, no benefits involved, but is worded as a general increase in benefits letter and mentions how the pension is made up showing a single entry as SP. MrsM's is worded simply as your SP has increased to £xxx.xx per week.

I don't know why they send them out to be honest. Most, if not all pensioners know it's going up and probably know what percentage it's going up. My wife and I not received one....... that's fine.0

Received my letter today. They are late this year for some reason."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."

The only use we really make of them is for identification purposes - I only have a passport, no driving licence, and the OH is the other way round, so a DWP benefits letter is usually the next best go to when you need two pieces of identification.HumberFlyer said:I don't know why they send them out to be honest.
