This morning it's very grey outside, not very Spring-like. Yesterday I had to de-ice the car before setting out. Breakfast with Camelot was lovely, lots of chatting and a very tasty bacon and egg roll too. The roll was so big I couldn't eat all of it so got a doggy bag and brought it home.My plan was to do a little light shopping including quaich hunting but only managed a quick whizz round a supermarket. The traffic was the worst I've seen, ever. I suspect that almost the whole of Britain was streaming towards Loch Lomond jamming up roads for miles and miles and miles. 🙁 I took a diversion though even the early part of was extremely busy and slow moving though that was caused by one tiny roadwork with lights. After that progress was better. Luckily the weather was glorious so that made up for the traffic a little bit.Today I'll be some putting away of things! And my fridge needs a good tidying up, the food is a bit higgledy-piggledy. My friends will be arriving around teatime if the traffic isn't too bad. 🎉
Coxy - good luck on your walk. For now, I wish everyone a happy Saturday.11 -
Morning allMy body clock is still on work time so was awake at 6!!! Went out to the overflow fridge in the garage to get some milk and the birdsong was really loud and lovely this morning.Supermarket delivery later as they don't deliver on Easter Sunday. Will strip the bed and remake it later after I've made some cakes for Easter (mini eggs waiting in the wings for decoration). Will have a potter round the garden this afternoon as the sun is promising to make an appearance.Have a good day everyone and {{hugs}} for the poorlies x11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's currently grey outside but the forecasters have promised sun.
Yesterday was like a summer's day. Warm and sunny and, stand back in amazement, I actually got cracking in the front garden! Lots of cutting back done and my hands were ripped to bits by a rambling rose that appeared from nowhere last summer and soon took over.. I couldn't get at the root so it's cut back as best I can, to be dealt with later! It was the usual stop start affair to rest my legs and I never got as far as digging over the borders so that job is earmarked for today. The daffs are still in flower but once they die back it will look rather lacking in colour out there.
DD and the girls called with flowers and cake for me on route to the caravan. They are there for most of the week. Then DS called with a Lindt egg for me. The included truffles were scoffed last night! I can't bear to have chocolate in the house and not be eating it!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all be safe xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the start @Gers xx Glad you had a nice meet up with @camelot1001 but boo to the traffic on the way home. I guess that's the price for living somewhere so picturesque! Scotland is so beautiful x
I have packed my rucksack and have included two small mini egg eggs for DSis and I for tomorrow (road fuel....). I'm taking a couple of HXBs for us to have for breakfast, and we will buy a train picnic from the station. Hoping there's an M&S at Kings Cross as I really like their orzo salad and fruit pots. Dinner is booked at the hotel in Lockerbie.
I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend and a good week ahead. I will try to update en route to see how you're all doing.
Take care all

Morning All
Another lovely morning. Yesterday was wall to wall sunshine. All the washing was dry in record time and put away (the worst job!).
I had a good tidy up in the garden, one side is weeded and the dead plants removed, I seem to have lost quite a few over the winter. I'll get on with the other side this afternoon. Went to the allotment and planted out the onions, they got a head start in the greenhouse. Also planted some more veggie seeds in the greenhouse so it's all coming on.
Lovely meet up with Gers, breakfast was lovely but I didn't really eat much for the rest of the day. Sorry it took you so long to get home Gers.
Enjoy your walk Coxy, sorry your DS is heartbroken.
Hope your renovations are coming on Ruby, take your time.
Well done on the gardening TA.
Swimming this morning before I do anything else, I had a day off yesterday as I was just too worn out. This is mile 13 so slowly getting there.
Have a good day and enjoy the sunshine if you have it. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here but with a frost it should be lovely later once it warms up !
We got on really well yesterday we removed all the old 80’s tiles from the study and the carpet up to the bottom of the stairs all the skirting and architrave downstairs, we then laid the underlay and OH managed to lay about 2/3 of the new flooring it’s looking really lovely it really brightens the study and hallway, today OH will continue laying the floor downstairs and I will go upstairs and start to remove skirting etc up there, under the carpet in the hallway we found a ‘lovely’ pebble affect Lino 😳 I’m not sure who thought this would look nice in a hallway but it’s gone now 😃
Dinner tonight will be steak and sw chips I will get the chips cut this morning as I am shattered by the end of the day! The house is upside down so not really worth cleaning till we are finished.
Coxy good luck on your walk xx
Have good Easter weekends all and take care xx11 -

Morning all, lovely here but frosty 1st thing. Yesterday I did some clearing at the back and swept the patio, had a chat to next door over the fence, and pooch and her newish pup had a sniff at each other. He is very cute but he can't half yap !Then I went for a walk round the park, stopped to pat a cute little dog who came sniffing, he proceeded to jump up and cover me in mud!We watched football in the afternoon & then sent DS to the fantastic Italian takeaway up the road as a holiday treat. It seems strange not having DGCs matches to go to on a weekend with them both on hols. DGS team is still playing, and as DS2 is now joint coach, he'll have to go anyway so we may pop over. Apparently DGS has found himself 2 friends who are as keen on playing as he is so he's quite happy now that he's bought a ballCoxy, good luck with your walking in Scotland, sorry to hear your son &GF have split up.Glad you had a good meet up Camelot & Gers.Saturday curry later, got everything in.Happy Easter weekend to all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
