Sickness record with new employer

Hi,
Recently I have been offered a job had fill in the application form now they'll be looking into DBS which I'm not worried about but I'm worried about my previous sickness with my old employer I've been with 3 years and in 2022 summer time I started suffering from anxiety and depression I was open and honest with my old company but in that time I had 6 periods off sick off with my mental health problems. I am on medication and seeking professional help which I have now so I've started all the right steps to get myself better just takes time. Would this go against me from actually getting it officially I did enclose that I do suffer from mental health problems as the line of work I'd be doing I would relate to the people I would see.
Any help would be appreciated.

Number of absenses and number of days lost will be considered by any employer I would think. There are a number of hurdles in the world of work, but the first one is turning up.

to the best of my knowledge after the Equality Act 2010 came in an employer shouldnt even ask about your sickness record when you apply for a job. Mental Health problems over that period of time are likely to be judged to be a Disability which is a protected characteristic. If a future employer used this to refuse a position they would likely be in breach and open themselves to a claim of Disability Discrimination. This is why most companies now will just give a reference saying the dates you have worked with them and little else.1
