Can I contribute NI in this tax year?

Hey there
I was optimistically hoping that when I checked my pension forecast today that my NI for 22/23 would have been logged. Alas and alack, it is not!!! Any idea when this might happen.
I'm also a bit concerned as no one has been able to tell me definitively if I would have made enough NI contribution in 22/23 and now I've notice there's this on their website:
The difference could be about £3 payout per week and I doubt it would cost much for me to get that assuming that I just need to top up what NI I did pay last year. I'm looking to start collecting my SP late in 2023 so want to make sure I've got it all organised.

You have:
- 32 years of full contributions
- 1 year to contribute before 5 April 2023
- 6 years when you did not contribute enough

Employers have until 20 April to tell HMRC about earnings for 2022:23 so cannot see NI records being updated before May at the earliest.
As far as NI from working is concerned anyway.1 -

Thanks - that makes sense that employers need time to do their thing. I guess it makes no difference that all of the work I did was at least 6 months back as I suspect it would just confuse things to try and do bits and pieces as the info is received.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Without a full record running to end of year there is a fair chance the NI record will not be updated until they do the update around October.
