lililou, sunshine *sigh* all i've got here is about 3 inches of frost!!

moomoomama in terms of instrumentals when i ran out of nice tempo / crap tempo kinda thing to say i started saying what i thought they would do well as, like in an advert, an action sequence in a film, as lift muic etc :rotfl: they get a bit soul destorying after a while, some are ok but it's the ones you sit there for ages waiting on the vocals to start grr

thankfully haven't had so many of them *yet*

  • :j Afternoon everyone
I find myself using the term *lounge music* alot
For me it encompasses the kind of track that you would hear at some posh art gallery, the kind of track that plays in the background not the kind of track you would actually pay attention to just like a backing track
In fact very much like lift music,They bore me to tears

Most of the tracks I'm getting are dire. Bare in mind that my favourit artists are Foo Fighters, Metallica, Delirious, Stranglers, 70s anf 80's punk and mainstream Rock, Motorhead, quirky tracks and songs that are so bad they are actually good - I'm finding I can only cope with 10 at a time tops. I had hoped to sit up tonight and do loads but I run out of constructive ways to say that the track is boring, the artist has no talent or musical ability or that its just so average it hasnt a hope in hell of standing out from the rest. The problem is that these artists are dragging down my rating and I feel like I've worked hard to get to 3 stars. In honesty, many deserve between 0 - 3 but If I gave out that many low marks it would devastate my accuracy and I'd be penalised after working hard to improve my reviewing and rating - seems so unfair. Theres a lot of very amateur offerings this time and some singers who really can not sing, period.:rotfl:
  • woo hoo, just made my first £1

Its hard work though....trying to say something original to each one but have just had so many poor ones today.

Has anyone else had problems with tracks jumping today? Might just be my comp.

Afternoon everyone. You are all doing so well.

My evening went a bit pearshaped last night as my little girl was poorly so didn't do much scouting.

So now behind but hopefully should still be able to get to my £50 for January.

angelflower well done, I would say it does get easier lol i think for a lot of people starting out its a nightmare being a one star scout and having to write a lot more reviews to move up a star, but you should be moving up in no time i'm sure

Norfolk jim- I'm just like that i have my own genre that i like and bands i would prefer to litsen too,I'm having trouble with my tips,At this moment in time i have 14 tips to give but not enough bands added from this scout room to give them too
