Just about to make some purchases from Amazon and it seems the minimum spend for free delivery has now increased from £20 to £25.

Buy most of my stuff off eBay now anyway.
Amazon are well overpriced for many items now.

They've grown too quickly and are now being hit by increasing costs like the rest of us - their Prime isn't worth it for 'next day delivery' as many items now take 2 days to arrive - when the free delivery usually gets here in 3, but with the minimum order for delivery now being £25, I'll be conciously checking elsewhere before buying anything (I think I do most of the time anyway now). I only ever use Prime free trials or Prime for a week for 99p.

I know the delivery thing is dependant on where the stock is compared to where you are - but it's not as good as it used to be. Tweak by tweak they're making it less appealing to the likes of me, and imagine many others who are reviewing their 'subscriptions' to save money. I even bought things (non-food) in a shop this week.

Amazon are not going to fail anytime soon, but I imagine they're doing a lot of work behind the scenes to improve efficiences and reduce costs. They've been laying off several thousand around the globe in recent months - I imagine this is all part of an overall project to increase profitability. As I said above, I often look elsewhere to buy things I want (and invariably find them cheaper in lots of cases) - I guess other savvy customers will be doing the same.
