Probationary period acknowledgement

Hello all,
I am due to complete 3 months probationary period in the next few days and was wondering if an employer has to confirm that you've passed your probationary period in writing or if its just a given that you've passed if you work beyond the 3 months with nothing said by both parties.
I've looked at my contract and it says nothing about this, just that my probationary period is 3 months but no more than that.
I am going to hand in my notice but this won't be until after the 3 months period has expired so was just trying to plan if I am required to give 1 weeks notice as is the case in the probationary period or 1 months notice after the probationary period.
Just to confirm again, the contract mentions nothing about confirming that probationary period has been passed or anything about confirming in writing that it's passed.
I'm assuming that once the probationary period has passed that it's just assumed that I've passed and then 1 months notice is required by me when handing in my notice, is that correct?
Thanks for any help in advance.

You are normally deemed to have "passed" unless told otherwise.
However, apart from any additional contractual benefits you may be entitled to by passing probation, it has virtually no meaning in employment law. In a way, with little employment protection in the first two years, arguably everybody is on probation until then!0 -

I was kind of assuming that if nothing is mentioned then yes you're deemed as passed once you reach and pass your probationary period but was just wondering. Appreciate your post.0
