Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
All yesterday's washing was just about dry outside, just needed airing off. Only a small load to do today, will put it on once I've been for a swim.
Chrisca that hotel is about 10 miles from here, beautiful setting.
Hope your decorating is going well Ruby, that's a big job to do.
Hope your BFF is comfortable TA and you get to visit her again soon.
Good trip to Costco yesterday, didn't go mad but stocked up on a few things and filled up with petrol whilst I was there, it's 8p per litre cheaper there than locally.
Swim and shopping first thing then I'm going to collect the little one, we'll go swiming later then out for chips and I'll take here back tomorrow morning. No doubt I'll be exhausted. Your little one made me laugh dp1 (hope you're feeling better). My little one recently had her pants on her head and a dressing gown tied round her and declared she was a superhero doctor!
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone it looks a bit brighter today but no warmer chicken dinner later with plenty of veg not a lot happening here dog will be to walk later and have got a new mop and bucket I will be trying out on my never ending mucky kitchen floor it’s one of those were you press the pedal and it spins the mop dry it was expensive for a mop and bucket or at least I thought so but I had vouchers so it cost me nothing other than a dog walk that’s as exciting as it gets today. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

morning folks. A nice start here, let's hope Spring is finally springing.
The DGDs are still in bed so I have been treading about lightly so as not to wake them. They are here until lunchtime so I think it will be brunch before they go. They have dance and choreography competitions this afternoon and into the evening so a sleep in won't do any harm! I wish I could sleep this long, the silly o'clock wake ups are still clinging on.
I never ventured out garden tidying yesterday despite the promised drizzle not arriving after all. Maybe after the girls have gone I may make a start!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning. Surprise party last night was a surprise and quite fun too, saw lots of people I haven't seen for a while and met some I'd never met before. I did get quite drunk for the first time in a long time and we walked home because we missed the bus. We watched it sail majestically past us as we were on the wrong side of the road trying to find out on an app what time the last one was [ answer = later than you'd think- ten past eleven]. It isn't that far away really, wouldn't have been a problem before but at least it was mostly downhill or flat. Could've been worse. And I got some excercise in
And yes, the buffet food had the ubiquitous egg sandwiches...I don't know how they are made, who makes them or what but they are my absolute in the world favourite sandwich ever and I only get to eat them at parties like this. If any of you have a party and have egg sandwiches and are not too far away, if you're afraid there'll be leftover egg sandwiches, give me a shout,,I'll come...Today we're out to see Dungeons and Dragons with a friend or two of OHs, and I'll put some pork in over some potatoes and carrots and stuff while we're out for dinner. Or I might do boulangere potatoes, dunno yet...
Have a wonderfully lazy Sunday all or a relaxing one or one doing what you want to do...take care all....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11 -
I've been idly browsing for a wee while. Reading the newspapers mostly. My trip down to Inveraray yesterday was partially successful. The castle gift shop had the item I wanted, a quaich, but it was too expensive and had their clan name inscribed on it so I passed on by. However, I did buy a lovely scarf and a tea light shield to give as presents. And indulged myself with a new handbag. My search for the perfect one goes on, this one isn't quite there whilst better than my current one which is too big. Then I had a cup of tea in the tearoom which was still quiet.Despite me arriving at the castle just past opening time there were two big coaches already spilling out American tourists a lot of whom headed straight for the shop. I felt sorry for the sole assistant who was struggling to cope. I hope her missing colleague turned up later on.Today is still a mystery, it all depends on the weather. I did a bit of rose pruning yesterday until the wind got too nippy for comfort. I also loped off a long bramble shoot which was arcing into the track as I was wary of it scratching my car, probably needlessly but I feel better about it being gone.DP1 - I had a good chuckle over your delightful little one, such a wee joy.TA - enjoy the peace when the girls leave.Camelot - your swim and chips took me straight back to childhood memories.Izzy - hope your new mop and bucket do the trick.Iris - enjoy your day.Chrisca - Sausage and mash sound so perfect.I wish everyone well. Happy Sunday to all.11

Morning everyone
The rain has stopped and it seems milder this morning so I've hung yesterdays washing out. Still got a very annoying cough and a croaky voice which little one says makes me sound 'really weird!'
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning to his banking and email to DD in Germany then this afternoon I'm taking little one to our local theatre to see 'The Bubble Man.'...not sure how you make an hour long show out of blowing bubbles, but we'll find out. She's very excited as she loves going there. We might go for a walk and a hot chocolate afterwards.
Right I'd better move...hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning all
Dry here for now but it looks dull and overcast here, I have stripped the beds and got the bedding on a hot wash, will try to hang it out for a while today.
Did not get on yesterday as I had a thumping headache and felt sick all day it seems to have cleared now.
Im going to collect an old beautiful carver chair later it was free on fb and just up the road from me, it needs sanding back and re waxing but it will look beautiful once done.
Camelot we have not started the decorating yet we will start over the Easter weekend and do as much as we can, the flooring has to sit for a week to acclimatise, we will do as much as we can but will then need an electrician and a painter for the high hallway upstairs.
Cottage pie for dinner tonight will do a load of veg to go with it.
We booked our flights yesterday back to ‘our’ Greek island we are going to do the last three days on a new island this time Skopelos which was where Mumma Mia was filmed, this has actually put me off from visiting before but lots of people said it’s beautiful so we thought we would give it a try.
Have good days all and stay safe xxx11 -
Morning all cold but dry this morning Yesterday we went to the ideal home show on free tickets but it has really gone down hill and i probably won't bother again the upstairs other than the food stalls and alcohol tasting was like a town market with counterfeit goods and phone cases
Today i will be chasing last minute as they have changed our flights to Bangkok so instead of 2 and a bit days we have 1and a half so i need to sort that they give you 48 hrs to agree or they ask the airline for another flight but that may not be suitable also a refund cheque from an old credit card has been cancelled so i will be calling them tomorrow they did say the wrong amount was sent but if it had gone through then that was fine nothing but aggravation this morning anyhoo bit of washing and easter gifts to make so i have plenty to do in the meantime
Have a good day whatever you are up to stay safe warm and dry xx
