Good morning folks.
No dawn chorus this morning, it's too dank for the birds.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. It's raining here, just for a change. I didn't post yesterday, I was up and out early, then the day slipped away somehow.Glad you're feeling a bit better Snoozer, and Ruby, sorry to read you aren't sleeping well, awful isn't it.Hope your weekend of celebrations goes well Coxy,We are going away in the caravan tomorrow, to a site near York. What a lovely city it is, not far for us either.Needless to say I've got my waterproof jacket out ready to put in the van.Hope everyone has a good day today, whatever you've got planned.Take care folks.12

The light is very slow to come today, it's odd. And now it's already April. My visit to a friend yesterday was lovely. On the way up I called in to pick up a couple of cinnamon buns from a cafe. They make them fresh every morning. We sat outside chatting away until the wind became too much. A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Then I spent too long trying to apply for the South Korean e-travel permit. It was only after getting really frustrated that I realised that its use has been suspended for some countries until December 2024. Not sure if I was more annoyed than relieved. 😅
Despite the warm day my house was so cold so I lit the stove, first time for ages, to get some heat into it. I also opened the front door to let in the spring sunshine.Today I want to drive down to Inveraray for a little browse, I'm still after a couple of small gifts to take with me.I hope that everyone is doing fine. So many missing from here still. Happy Saturday to all.13 -
Morning allEarly start this morning. Off to a retail park this morning where the large charity shop resides so will have a wander round the shops there after dropping off our donations.Yes Gers, the Loch was very bonny and beautiful! I remember we had a few hours to kill before we got our plane back to down south so I wnted to see the Billy Connolly murals in Glasgow. There was so many road closures/road works on that day that our sat nav couldn't get us there for some reason and we kept going round in circles and going over the bridge so had to give up and go straight to the airport :-(Want to make some chocolate chip muffins when I get back and have got some ironing with my name on too.Have a good Saturday everyone x13

Morning folks and thanks GERS. No rain here yet and we have snippets of blue sky emerging - but drizzle is forecast later. Where's the nice Spring weather hiding. SCARLET have a nice trip away. We used to go to York a lot when at the caravan, we could catch the direct bus from Ripon. It saved the drive and parking charges and, of course, it was free with our bus pass.
I am hoping to venture out and do a bit of garden tidying if my legs allow it but it depends how long it is before the drizzle arrives. Both back and front are looking sadly neglected.
I have the 2 youngest back again tonight for sleepover as DD is out on yet another celebration for her big birthday on Tuesday!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

I’m going to have a quiet day today as yesterday I drove to Lincoln and back for a family funeral
The weather was terrible 3 hrs each way in pouting rain and winds. ,nearly 300 miles in totalAs usual it was good to see family but not in such circumstances
Actually slept last night and this morning it is raining again
Take care everyone12 -
Morning everyone enjoy York Scarlet it’s a lovely city with some nice shops I like the Yorkshire soap company and the imaginariam next door is so weird and wonderful I have only been on bus trips at Xmas and it’s far to busy to look around really I should make the effort in the summer and get the train there for the day . Cinnamon buns sound delicious Gers I put a bit off cinnamon in my porridge feel like I’m having a hot cross bun for my breakfast without the calories. I got Two lovely great big pots for outside in a lovely blue in Lidl yesterday so need to fill the car up today so will call and get some potting compost I have a couple of plants that need a bigger pot they will look lovely when they are done also while tidying some bags I looked in my bag I usually take away with us when we used to go abroad and I found a hundred and fifty euros so they will be changed today hubby is adamant he is not going away again but I might save up and take off on a little jaunt by myself we will see . Right housework is calling because the weather is wet and cold here supposed to be sunny later I will fit in a dog walk . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning everyone
Wet here too - just drizzle not proper rain. Hopefully it will cheer up later as I've a pile of washing to dry. Little one came back with me after nursery and stayed for tea but I postponed sleepover night till hopefully my sore throat and cough are a bit better. Still very croaky this morning but I'll rest my voice as much as I can today....by having a nice lazy day to myself!
After tea she wanted me to sit on the kitchen floor and 'be the audience' while she did a show...'mind granny I'll have to take all my clothes off'. So she disappears into the living room and runs back through with nothing on but her knickers on her head! Lots of very energetic singing and dancing based roughly on a pirate song with a bit of hokey cokey mixed in.....
Kept her happy till DD texted she was on her way then a scramble to get into her pyjamas....
Better get myself moving...have a good day everyone x10 -
Morning All
Have a good trip to York Scarlet, years since I've been.
Lucky find Izzy!
Sounds like you had a good day Gers.
I'm a 5 minute drive from Loch Lomond Chrisca.
Hope you've had some sleep Ruby.
Well, the holidays are here at last, I think we were all on our knees yesterday. The usual suspects weren't picked up at 2.30 so a few of us had to wait until the parents arrived. Home to do some housework and have a celebratory Gin!
Swimming in a minute (mile 8 hopefully) and then a trip to Costco. Bedding in the WM, it may dry outside today.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -
DP1 what a great life wouldn’t we all feel better if we did a bit of Hokey Cokey with our knickers on our head she has cheered my day up10
